“Tch. How many women has that animal ruined? Who knows how many ‘wives‘ he has. If the boss hadn’t dealt with him, who knows how much more harm he would’ve caused p>
“Hey, wait a minute. Wasn’t Bob already… ‘taken care of‘? How can he still be with a woman p>
Just as he said it, they received a new order- Arrest Bob.
Jasper’s men had found a clue and, after digging deeper, had locked onto Bob as the most likely suspect.
“Damn it! Bob just passed through here p>
“Go p>
The car reached the harbor. A small, run–down boat was docked at the pier.
Tatiana got out of the car, her heart seizing. Once she got on that boat, she would probably never come back.
She suddenly clutched her stomach, her face twisting in pain. “Ngh p>
Bob turned and snarled, “Why’d you stop! Don’t even think about running! You can’t escape p>
“My… my stomach hurts. Maybe the drive… it was too fast, too bumpy p>
The moment he heard it was her stomach, Bob tensed. “Did you jostle my son p>
“Mhm. I don’t… feel good p>
Bob was furious. “Now what? Of all the times to feel sick, you pick now! Even if you don’t feel good, you’ll suck it up p>
Bob knew perfectly well that if they were caught, his son was gone, and he was finished.
He wasn’t falling for it. Tatiana’s heart sank in despair.
They hurried toward the boat.

A tall, lean figure stood silently in front of them. He was backlit, his features obscured, but his gaze cut through the darkness like a shard of ice.
Primal fear shot through Bob. He instinctively grabbed Tatiana, holding her as a hostage.
Tap, tap, tap.
The figure, his long legs clad in suit trousers, stepped slowly out of the shadows. His handsome face was frozen.
It was Jasper.
He had found them.
Tatiana stared at him, numb. She remembered his cold indifference as she was about to drown. Her heart grew colder, and she looked
away.
Bob’s legs were shaking. He was terrified but refused to show it, shouting, “Don’t come any closer!” His other hand clamped around Tatiana’s throat.
His grip was too tight. She couldn’t breathe, and her face went even paler.
Jasper’s gaze flickered over her, then settled on Bob. He sneered. “Who gave you this courage, Xu Shaoming p>
Bob’s real name was Xu Shaoming. Almost no one ever used it. Hearing it now, his hands trembled even more.
He looked around and realized they were surrounded. Jasper’s men were everywhere.
“Just do me a favor and let us go! This woman cheated on you anyway. She’s useless to you. Just let me have her p>
He couldn’t force his way out, so he tried to appeal to pity.
Jasper ignored him and strode forward.
Terrified, Bob pressed the gun to Tatiana’s head. “Don’t move! Or I’ll kill her p>
Jasper stopped. His eyes were lethal. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you p>
Goaded, Bob’s cowardice turned to rage. He laughed maniacally. “I’ve got nothing to lose! What am I afraid of? Hahaha, you’re so high and mighty! You run this whole city. No one dares to cross you. I, Bob, am not even worthy of carrying your shoes! But so what? Hahahaha… I still slept with your wife, didn’t I p>

Jasper’s expression instantly turned black.
The man who was always so untouchable, who looked down on everyone, finally showed a
reaction.
This gave Bob’s fragile ego an incredible boost.
The filthy words were jarring to everyone who heard them.
But Bob, fearless, continued, describing that night in vivid, pornographic detail.
Tatiana remained indifferent. Only she knew, the man from that night wasn’t Bob.
No one noticed, however, that with every word Bob spoke, the look on Jasper’s face grew more terrifying.
Just as Bob was bragging about how he’d made her scream with pleasure, a gunshot cracked the air.
The bullet grazed Tatiana’s cheek and slammed into Bob’s shoulder.
He howled in agony, his grip on the gun loosening. Tatiana seized the chance, ducked, and scrambled away.
Several more shots rang out.
They hit both of Bob’s legs. He collapsed, nearly passing out from the pain.
Tatiana sat on the ground, gasping for air.
Jasper strode past her without a glance. He stopped in front of Bob and brought his heel down on the man’s chest. A rib cracked. Bob screamed and fainted.
Jasper’s lip curled. “Get the water p>
One of his men immediately brought a bucket of seawater and dumped it over Bob.
The salt in the water hit his open wounds. Bob, screaming, was shocked back to consciousness.
Jasper ground his heel into Bob’s chest. A cold sneer touched his lips. “Feeling good now p>
