Chasing His Scentless Mate Chapter 395

Chapter 395 The Gentleman Villain with a Perverted Mind

Kenneth’s POV

I watched as Ava and Joseph disappeared into the distance, my hands clenched into tight fists at my sides. The rage bubbling inside me threatened to spill over as I fought to maintain my composure.

“Are you jealous?” my wolf Silas asked, his voice taunting in my mind.

“Jealous?” I scoffed, my lips curling into a sneer. “Impossible. I’m merely frustrated that our plans have been disrupted.”

Joseph’s unexpected arrival had certainly thrown a wrench into my carefully constructed strategy. But what truly shocked me was discovering that he was Ava’s fated mate. The universe had a sick sense of humor.

“We still have leverage,” Silas reminded me. “The pregnancy changes everything.”

I nodded slowly.

That day, the doctor had pulled me aside to privately share the results of Ava’s examination.

“Alpha Kenneth,” he had said, his voice low and respectful, “I thought you should know immediately. Miss Ava is pregnant.”

The news had hit me like a physical blow. There was only one possible father, Joseph Garcia.

“How far along?” I had asked, already calculating dates in my head.

“About five weeks,” the doctor confirmed.

I knew immediately what this meant. Once Ava discovered she was carrying Joseph’s child, she would return to him without hesitation. After all my meticulous planning to help her awaken her powers, to gain her trust and loyalty, she would leave my pack for Joseph’s arms.

That was why I had acted decisively. The aphrodisiac and mind-altering potion I slipped into her drink had been a necessary precaution. If I could make her believe the child was mine, I could keep her within my grasp. And even if the timeline didn’t match up later, changing medical records would be easy for someone with my resources and connections.

I could still taste Ava’s lips from that night, sweet and hungry as she kissed me fervently under the influence of the potion.

I’d hardened instantly at her touch when she slid her hands beneath my shirt. But then she’d murmured Joseph’s name in her passion-induced haze before the drugs overwhelmed her system and she lost consciousness.

I had straightened up, looking down at her unconscious form on my bed. If I was going to sell this deception, I needed to be thorough. Methodically, I removed her dress, admiring the curves of her body as they were revealed to me. Her skin was soft as I pressed my lips against her neck, shoulders, and arms, leaving visible marks that would support my story.

Even unconscious, she had responded to my touch, small moans escaping her lips as I moved lower. I removed her underwear and positioned myself between her thighs, my tongue tracing patterns against her most sensitive areas. Her body responded naturally, growing wet as I worked.

“You belong with me,” I had whispered against her skin, sliding my fingers inside her, feeling her inner walls contract around them. “Not with him.”

The thought of Joseph taking my place made me even angrier and more determined. I increased the pace of my fingers, my thumb circling her clit as my mouth moved to her breasts. Her breathing quickened, her body arching slightly as she reached climax in her unconscious state.

Afterward, I had cleaned her carefully with a towel, fighting against my own unsatisfied arousal.

I needed release but wouldn’t take advantage of her in that way. There was another solution. I sent a mind-link to a woman who occasionally warmed my bed.

“Come to my room. Now.”

When I got back to my room, she was already naked and waiting for me on my bed, her eyes hungry.

“Alpha,” she purred, rising to her knees to unbutton my shirt.

I didn’t bother with foreplay or tenderness. I took her roughly, closing my eyes and picturing Ava beneath me instead. The woman seemed to understand what I needed, leaving visible marks on my skin to complete the illusion I was creating.

Technically, I hadn’t actually had sex with Ava that night. But she wouldn’t know that.

“Alpha Kenneth,” Beta Owen’s voice brought me back to the present as we approached the pack house. “Are we really going to let Ava leave like this? The full moon is coming, and your curse…”

I released my Alpha aura, forcing him to his knees with the weight of my power. His eyes went wide with fear as he realized his mistake, immediately lowering his head in submission.

“Owen,” I said coldly, “don’t overstep your boundaries. Your concern is unnecessary and unwelcome.”

I walked into the pack house, hearing Owen’s careful footsteps behind me. As I sat down in my office, I leaned back in my chair and closed my eyes, thinking about my next move.

Yes, the full moon was approaching again. Soon that agonizing curse would take hold of me once more.

I had spent years tracking down Odelia and Hilary specifically to break this curse that plagued me. If I had known back then that Odelia was a descendant of the very witch who cursed my bloodline, I never would have allowed her to escape while pregnant.

Most werewolves have evolved past the primitive days when the full moon forced an uncontrollable shift. Normal wolves could maintain perfect control over their transformations.

But the Alphas of my bloodline suffered under a vicious curse. On full moon nights, we lost all rationality and transformed not into wolves but into monstrous, mindless beasts. It wasn’t a simple shift but rather like experiencing the agony of a first transformation repeatedly—bones breaking and reforming throughout the night, pain so intense it drove us to bloodlust and violence.

The curse was as powerful as it was malevolent. Only a descendant of the witch who cast it could break it.

How ironic that after clawing my way to Alpha status through blood and betrayal, I discovered that the witch who could end my suffering was Odelia.

I’d searched worldwide for her. But she was clever and elusive, always one step ahead, disappearing whenever my men got close.

After years of hunting, I finally tracked down Hilary’s location, which led me to Odelia’s hideout—only to find she had vanished again, leaving behind her daughter Ava.

Though Ava appeared to be an unremarkable wolfless Omega, I knew better. With her powerful witch mother and Alpha bloodline, there was no way she could be as ordinary as she seemed. Odelia had hidden successfully for so many years; surely she had done something to conceal Ava’s true nature as well.

I was right. Once awakened, Ava proved to be incredibly powerful and… invaluable. I’d carefully cultivated her trust, and she had even been willing to sacrifice herself to save me. If she discovered how deeply I suffered under the curse, breaking it would be simple for someone with her abilities.

My original plan was to gradually tighten the net, letting Ava discover my cursed condition naturally. But Joseph’s interference meant I would need a new strategy.

“The curse is getting stronger,” Silas reminded me.

I rubbed my temples, feeling the familiar dull ache that always came before the transformation. “We still have time.”

“And if she doesn’t return?” Silas pressed.

I smiled coldly. “Then we’ll have to bring her back, won’t we?”

The baby growing inside her was both a complication and an opportunity. With the right manipulation, I could use it to bind her to me permanently.

“Prepare the dungeon,” I instructed Owen. “If things don’t go as planned, we may need it.”

“For Ava?” he asked hesitantly.

“For anyone who stands in my way,” I replied, my voice like ice. “Including Joseph Garcia.”

Owen nodded, understanding the gravity of my words. “And what about the rumors, Alpha? The pack is talking about your relationship with Ava.”

“Let them talk,” I said dismissively. “Soon enough, they’ll know she carries my child and will become my Luna.”

After Owen left, I made my way down to the basement. The basement was designed to contain me during the full moon, to keep me from running out and hurting pack members.

Almost no one knew that inside the basement, there was another place I had hidden away.

I stepped into the sealed, pitch-black room. There, chained to the wall, was a man who had been tortured until he was nothing but skin and bones. His hair hung long and matted, his face covered in dirt and grime.

I smiled coldly at him. “Hello, brother.”
