Ava’s POV

“Nothing, just… you’re too beautiful.” I stammered.

He managed a small smile.

“Sorry, I took off my clothes because I was falling asleep. The medicine makes me drowsy.” He lowered his head, almost embarrassed.

“I know, don’t worry. Look, I made some soup and orange juice. You need to eat something and stay hydrated. Even if you don’t want to.”

“Have you had dinner?” Even sick, he was still concerned about me. My heart clenched.

“Yes, I’ve already eaten. Now I want to see you eat something.” I perched on the edge of the bed.

“I’m not hungry,” he sighed.

“Oh no, but you’re going to eat.”

I took the spoon, dipped it into the soup, blew on it gently, and brought it to his lips. He gave me a slightly shy look but opened his mouth. I continued feeding him until he finished the soup, followed by the juice.

After helping him brush his teeth and use the bathroom, we returned to bed. I snuggled against him, and he embraced me with a soft sigh. We slept peacefully without teasing each other, though my love for him ran deep.

The next morning when we woke, he looked much better, and his fever had broken.

“How do you feel?” I asked, placing my hand on his forehead.

“Much better. Your soup was magical.” His voice was stronger, less raspy.

“That’s great!” I couldn’t help but let my gaze wander over his naked body, barely able to contain my desire.

“What is it, Ava? Why are you looking at me like that?” His eyes, clearer now, watched me with growing interest.

“Are you feeling very uncomfortable?”

“Why do you ask?”

“Because I’m attracted to you, and I want to make love to you.” I bit my lip, pleased to see a smile spread across his face.

“Come here.” He pulled me onto his lap so I straddled him. “You might catch my cold, but I will never refuse making love to you.”
