Adam
“As much as her fire and sassiness turns me on, I don’t understand her one bit. Why was she crying?” I heard my brother, Daniel ask, and sighed.
She baffled me. Dora. Was that even her real name? The name sounded like something that was made up out of whim. I would bet my ten percent that the name was fake. It wasn’t her name, and it only made me more curious.

“Adam, are you that shaken?” That was Daniel, ever the playful one. He jabbed my arm, and looked at me closely as if sniffing for his underwear in my eyes; the guy could be so gross.
“We didn’t talk about anything. She kept avoiding my questions even when I threatened to kiss her. She froze though when she saw you two coming. So, I should be asking you two if you had offended her in her past life p>
Noah and Daniel exchanged glances, both at loss on what to say. I expected that. Whatever Noah and Daniel has ever been involved in, I have been a part of, or at least aware of. I just must be involved. And so, I wasn’t surprised when they were coming up short with their thoughts.
They can’t remember a girl they had offended so badly that she would want to hate them. And if there was, a touch should send that one to the bed, and calm her down, but this girl was different.

“I can’t remember a thing.” Noah muttered, looking down, very deep in thought.
“We should have just taken off her mask, and get this over with. Now look, we are down in thoughts, instead of getting laid by some hot chick. I have to say the girls from the community are really beautiful.” Daniel chatted, trying to lighten the mood.

I heard Noah laugh, and Daniel echoed that, and I knew that they were trying to get past the fact that the girl just did our egos in. No girl has ever done that, not even Maya. Ok now, I have to forget this girl.
“You are right, let’s get laid.” I said, putting false cheer into my voice, throwing my hands over Noah’s shoulders, and then over Daniel’s, as we laughed into the night and started walking the path that Dora had just passed through with her little cousin.
The little girl was as feisty as her, only that Dora was still coming to terms with a cure for her magiclessness, if there is a term as that. The little sister though was different. I could literally sense the magic waves rolling all over her. That one would be a great mage.
