The Triplet Alphas’ Curse Rejected by the Wolfless Luna Chapter 101

Chapter 101

Mabel stepped out of her chamber with her usual polite soft expression. Her door shut softly behind her. The faint click echoed once before fading into nothing.

She didn’t move immediately.

Her fingers rested lightly at her side. Her gaze stayed forward, and her posture perfect.

She suddenly stilled. Something shifted. She felt a glow she have never felt.

Mabel’s brows drew together faintly.

It came softly at first. Thw scent was almost too faint to notice. But then it deepened into something warmer, and richer, curling into her senses.

The scant felt so alive, and sweet. The scent got deeper, as it pulled and nudged at her. Her breath paused, and her wolf stirred knowingly with knowledge her body couldn’t grasp.

Mabel’s head tilted slightly.

The scent grew stronger. Her feet moved before she consciously decided to walk. She took one step, then another.

Her pace remained measured, and controlled, but there was something beneath it now. Her movement became instinctive. She coudnlt name, or fight the feeling.

Servants passed her in the corridor. A few stopped in suprise when she didnt smie at them, wondering with genuine concern if she was okay.

The scent led her further down the corridor, and around a turn. She moved down a quieter wing of the castle.

Mabel’s expression didn’t change, but her eyes sharpened.

The scent was stronger here, and so much closer. Her wolf stirred again, louder this time, urging her to move forward.

Mabel didn’t respond to it. She simply followed, holding her breath with zero to none anticipation of what she might find.

She got certain her mate was pulling to her. She wasn’t imagining the whole thing. Her wolf purred again, and Mabel felt her heart beating in her stomach.

At the far end of the corridor, another presence appeared.

He stepped into view at the same time she did. He had been walking too, drawn to the scent, just as she was.

They both stopped the moment they sat themselves.

The distance between them wasn’t large. It was just enough for their recognition to strike fully.

Their eyes met, and everything stilled. The air, the movement, and even the quiet seemed to hold its breath.

His eyes widened first.

A faint golden alive glow flickered beneath them.

Mabel felt it then. She felt a sharp immediate, and unmistakable pull.

Her lips parted slightly, and at the exact same moment, her lips parted on their own accord. Without waiting for her permission, she spoke.

“Mate p>

The word left both of them at once.

It echoed softly between them, final and absolute.

For a second, nothing else existed. The bond settled instantly. It felt so heavy, real, and demanding.

Mabel’s wolf purred, soft and satisfied.

Mabel didn’t move. Her gaze stayed on him, and slowly, her brows furrowed.

She took him in fully and carefully.

His clothes were worn out, simple, and marked. He didn’t look nobel, or even respectable.

He was an omega. A slave.

The warmth in Mabel shattered immediately.

Mabel’s expression didn’t twist into anger. Intact, her soft expression didn’t break, or crack.

Her wolf went silent.

The bond still pulsed between them, but everyhing in her had already stepped away from it.

He didn’t notice.

His face lit with raw relief, and unguarded joy.

He stepped toward her, slowly at first, as he took in her appearance. However, his wolf refused to stay away.

“Matel he said softly, like he already knew her. The bond had given him that right to know her.

Mabel didn’t respond. She watched him approach her with calm eyes as she stood still there, wondering if he was sent by soemone who wanted her dead.

How would an omega be her mate? Her, Mabel? Only child of the richest house in the realm. Mated to an omega?

’This should be forbidden.’ Mabel thought, inwardly going crazy.

He reached her. His hand lifted, hesitant for only a second, before taking hers.

The moment their skin touched, the bond flared. The bond spark came alive, ticklish against their palms.

He let out a small breath, almost a laugh.

“You feel that?” he murmured.

Mabel’s gaze dropped briefly to their joined hands.

“Yes,” she said softly.

He smiled, a bit shy, and not knowing how to react. His red hair fell over his face, with some tied behind.

His hand tightened around hers. He stepped closer, his grey eyes glowing with each second she stood before him.

He stood close enough that she could feel his breath, and close enough that the bond pulsed stronger.

“You’re mine,” he said quietly.

Mabel lifted her gaze back to him.

She said nothing, and at that moment, she let herself look at him the way he was looking at her.

She smiled. Her smile came out small, and barely there, but it was enough for him. He didn’t hesitate.

He leaned forward, closing the distance. His lips brushing against hers, and that was when everything ended.

It happened fast.

Too fast for him to understand, and too fast for him to react.

Mabel’s hand moved, unhesitating.

His body jerked at the impact of her touch. His breath caught, and his eyes widened in shock.

Mabel didn’t step back. She didn’t rush what she did. She didn’t even breathe differently as she dugged her claws into his chest, and tore his heart out of him.

The bond snapped. It tore through her chest, and her ribs. Pain hit her in a violent way, blinding for a single second.

He dropped to his knees.

A broken sound left his throat.

His hand reached for her in confusion.

Mabel watched him crumble calmly.

Blood rushed out of his lips. His eyes searched her face, still trying to understand why she did what she just did.

Mabel bent slightly, just enough to meet his gaze. Her expression didn’t change from that polite calmness, not even a little.

“I am going to be queen,” she told him softly. Her voice didn’t tremble or harden.

His lips parted, but no words came. Rather, he coughed out more blood.

Mabel tilted her head just slightly, studying him. She smiled softly, so soft he almost felt like he mattered if he wasn’t dying.

“Not mate to a slave,” she finished.

The last glint in his eyes flashed in understanding. Then he fell, coughing out his last glup of blood.

The environment returned to silence.

Mabel stood there.

The pain hit again, sharper this time. The broken bond recoiled through her rusting her guts.

Her fingers tightened slightly, and her breathing paused then steadied. Slowly, she looked down at the dead man at her feet.

She stared at his heart for a long moment. Her gaze was unreadable. She lifted it slightly. Her gaze sharpening.

A faint smile touched her lips beautifully.

“I am meant to be queen,” she murmured again.

Her eyes lifted slightly towards the half moon.

“No more games.” She prayed.

She let her hand lower. Her expression settled back into its usual polite gentleness as if nothing had happened.
