Chapter 18
In a very short time, one week had already passed since the last call Evie gave.
Ezra stayed with Heidi, flying from Iceland to Antarctica, going with her to do many of the most loving things in the world, even deeply kissing at the top of the Ferris wheel that stands for lasting love, making a promise to be together for life.
With red eyes, Heidi spoke to him. “Ezra, you are the one who loves me most in this world, if
only we had met earlier…”.
How could he not know what she really meant, but he chose not to speak about it.
Seeing his lost focus, Heidi stopped moving.
“Since you no longer love her, can you marry me?”
After she said this, he replied in a calm tone, “This matter, we’ll talk about it later.”
Several days went by one after another, and there was still no news about Evie.
Before sleeping, she was not there; before meals, she was not there; there was no news at all.
He simply called the hourly helper at home and spoke coldly, “Hilda, what has my wife been
doing recently?”
After a brief silence, Hilda slowly answered.
“She said that this home will not need a nanny anymore, and also said no one will live in this
villa soon. The next day, a moving company came!”
After the call ended, he actually, as if under a spell, placed his fingertip on Evie’s call screen.
But before dialing, a soft voice interrupted him.
“Ezra, why do you keep checking your phone. Is something wrong at the company?”
Her eyes seemed to pull people in as she stared at him closely.
“Did Evie blame you again? Why don’t you go back… don’t let the two of you argue again
because of me!”
Her voice carried grievance, and Ezra’s expression changed at once as he put the phone into
his suit pocket.
“Heidi, you’re overthinking. It has nothing to do with her.”
Words from a man could deceive, but actions could not.
As night came, Ezra accompanied her to dine at a seaside western restaurant.
In the dim restaurant, he absentmindedly kept glancing at his phone, the bright screen light
falling on Heidi’s face.
A hidden anger rose in her heart, and she silently thought.
“Evie, when he completely hates you, you will become worthless trash that has been used!
You are not even fit to compare with me!”
No matter how wild her feelings were inside e

“Esra, why do you keep staring at your phones fo

Her tone held some anger and hurt
Then, she sliced a small bite of meat and moves it toward his lips.
Ezra, though, became frozen.
He quickly got up. “You go ahead and eat I’m making a call”
After saying that, he didn’t turn back and went out of the restaurant
Through the tall glass window, Heidi noticed his women and unassy face, so mad that she at

His right hand tightened into a fist, anger rising to his heart
Like he lost control, he opened their message thread, but the conversalny sill stopped
the last argument.
“Evie, if you’re done causing trouble, then call back.”
When no reply came, he typed a few more lines.
“Evie, don’t push it too far! This time it was your mistake. Why are you still making trouble?”
He lost all patience, put his phone away, and walked back inside.
