Alpha’s Regret Marked By The Lycan King Chapter 166

Chapter 166 Biological Children

Third POV

Jessie leaned forward, her eyes gleaming with conviction. “Think about it, Asher. If you really want to, you can still visit Finn from time to time. It’s not like you’ll never see him again once you send him away.”

She gestured casually, as if discussing weekend plans rather than a child’s future. “However, once you and Estelle have your own children, Finn will be the least of your problems.”

The words hung in the air like a death sentence.

Finn’s small face crumpled. He may be young, but he perfectly understood the conversation.

“No!” Finn burst into tears. “Daddy, don’t throw me away!”

The desperate cry jolted Asher from his calculating thoughts. He looked down at the sobbing child and felt something twist in his chest.

“Finn, come here,” Asher said, reaching down to scoop the boy into his arms.

Finn’s small body shook with sobs as he clung to Asher’s shirt. “I’ll be good, Daddy. I promise I’ll be really good. Please don’t send me away!”

Jessie clicked her tongue impatiently. “The adults are talking, Finn. Stop making such a fuss.”

Her sharp tone only made Finn cry harder, his wails echoing through the dining room.

Asher’s frown deepened. “This isn’t a conversation to have in front of a child, Mom.”

“Does that mean you’ll consider it?” Jessie pressed, her voice hopeful.

Finn’s cries reached a fever pitch, his small fists beating weakly against Asher’s chest.

“Daddy, please! I don’t want to leave! I’ll be the best boy ever! I won’t throw cake anymore!”

Asher rubbed soothing circles on Finn’s back, his jaw tightening. “Finn is my son. I have no intention of sending him anywhere.”

Ashley rolled her eyes dramatically. “Oh, come on, Asher. No matter what you say, Finn isn’t your biological son.”

She crossed her arms, speaking as if stating an obvious fact. “When you finally have your real son, you’ll understand that no one else matters.”

“I’ll be good!” Finn sobbed harder, his voice breaking. “I promise I’ll listen!”

Asher’s expression hardened as he looked at his sister and mother. “From the day I brought Finn into this family, he became my son. That’s a fact that won’t change, whether or not I have biological children.”

He shifted Finn in his arms, holding the trembling boy closer. “Drop it. Now.”

Dorothy, who had been listening to the entire exchange with growing frustration, pushed back from the table.

“I’m calling Estelle,” she announced, pulling out her phone. “This whole mess could be solved if she just came back and did her duty.”

Now that she found out Estelle might not be infertile, Dorothy wanted badly to have grandchildren. That way, the future Alpha of Moonveil could only land in the hands of a member of the Daniels family. Even though Ashley gave birth to twins, her children did not bear the Daniels name, and Finn was merely adopted. It would never be the same as having a proper heir.

Dorothy dialed Estelle’s number, tapping her fingers impatiently as the phone rang. However, it continued to ring without any signs of the opposite end picking up.

“Why isn’t she picking up?” Dorothy muttered, her annoyance growing with each unanswered ring.

The call went to voicemail. Dorothy immediately hit redial, her jaw clenched.

Ashley snorted. “Give it up, Grandma. Estelle has thrown Moonveil under the bus and washed her hands clean. She’s not planning on coming back.”

“That ungrateful girl,” Dorothy spat as the second call continued ringing. “After everything this family has done for her.”

She paced around the room, removing the phone from her ear. “If Estelle doesn’t come back, Moonveil is done for.”

Dorothy whirled around to face Asher, who was still comforting the sniffling Finn.

“You’d all better think of ideas to get Estelle back as soon as possible,” she said, her voice sharp with warning. “If her body truly has no problems, then she needs to give birth to an heir for the Daniels family, even if she plans on leaving afterward.”

Her eyes flashed dangerously. “Otherwise, Hazel will still think she has a chance. I will not allow that woman to set foot in this pack house again.”

The phone call had not been cut off yet, but Dorothy was too worked up to notice.

“Mark my words,” she continued, her voice rising. “Estelle will come back, and she will fulfill her obligations to this family. She owes us that much after all the years we’ve invested in her.”

Estelle’s POV

I stared at my phone screen in disbelief.

I had been driving when Dorothy’s first call came through. Seeing that it was inconvenient to pick up the call, I had originally wanted to wait until I got somewhere safe before dialing back. Then, her second call came, and I answered.

I was about to ask her what was wrong when I heard voices in the background. Something made me hesitate, and instead of speaking, I simply listened.

What I heard made my blood run cold.

“If her body truly has no problems, then she needs to give birth to an heir for the Daniels family, even if she plans on leaving afterward.”

Dorothy’s words cut through me like shards of glass.

“Mark my words, Estelle will come back, and she will fulfill her obligations to this family. She owes us that much after all the years we’ve invested in her.”

The car screeched to a stop as I parked by the side of the road.
