Chapter 75
Chapter 4
The night Camden proposed, I also dropped a bombshell on social media–announcing my own fiancé
Just a hand holding photo–no name or face shown.
Viviana was first in the comments, throwing shade:
“Sis, don’t try to save face. You’ve been playing corporate badass all week – since where the hell would you have a fiancé p>
“Everyone knows you’re into my man. Are you just salty he’s marrying me p>
I left her words hanging.
She’d find out soon enough.
A few days later, Mom and Dad invited Camden and Viviana over for a family dinner p>
I stayed quiet the whole time while Viviana threw shade every chance she got.
“I heard Sis got herself a fiancé too. Wonder who the lucky guy is? You haven’t shown us off yet p>
She batted her lashes. “Maybe it’s just some no–name nobody. You’re embarrassed to bring them around, huh? ”
Snuggling up to Camden’s arm–now that my parents approved their engagement–she couldn’t stop flaunting their “love p>
But I was over it, just giving a polite smile.
“Why don’t you focus on your own wedding? ”
Camden eyed me suspiciously.
“Brielle, cut the act. If you don’t have a guy, just say so. No need to lie p>
“Even if you stay single forever, Viv and I will take care of you p>
Then Mom and Dad joined in.
“Brielle, didn’t you say you were dating someone? ”
“We’re dying to meet your boyfriend–let us size him up p>
I took a sip of my drink. “You’ll all be pleased. ”
Then I stood up. “I’m done. Enjoy the rest p>
Two months flew by.
Viviana walked down the aisle in a gaudy wedding dress.
Her gaggle of bridesmaids rolled their eyes so hard they practically fell out of their heads, laying on the snark thick.
“ Look how loaded the Ravencrests are–they’ve been planning this wedding for two months. You can imagine how over–the–top it is p>
“But some people? Don’t even know their fiancé’s name. Probs some no–name schmuck they’re too embarrassed to show off p>
When I just smiled quietly, they piled on:
“Brielle, didn’t you say you were getting married too? Where’s your wedding? Not even a peep about it p>
“Wait, did you hook up with a broke dude who can’t afford a real wedding p>
Chapter 4
With everyone staring at me, I stepped up to the podium and announced:
“As the only daughter of the Sterling family, I, Brielle Sterling, won’t be marrying into another family. I’ve chosen a live in groom p>
The room erupted in snickers.
“A live in husband? No wonder they kept it hush–hush–so lame p>
“Any guy who agrees to that must be a total loser. Ugh, How pathetic. ”
But just as they snickered…
A fleet of ten plus luxury cars rolled up to the Sterling mansion: three Lamborghini Aventadors, five Ferrari SF90 Stradales, and two Rolls–Royce Phantoms.
The door of the lead Ferrari swung opened. Nᴇw ɴovel chaptᴇrs are published on ͟.net
A tall figure stepped out, adjusting his collar before lifting cold eyes.
“What–you think I’m not good enough to marry into the Sterling family p>
