No one had asked if Felicia even had money to stay at a hotel.
Felicia curved her lips into a mischievous smile. “Not a hotel-a man’s house. He was kind enough to take me in, and honestly, I’ve been quite comfortable there.” Sebastian fell silent.

Felicia’s voice remained steady, each word hitting like a hammer.

Sebastian was at a loss for words. Felicia’s logic was airtight, leaving no room for rebuttal.
