“Stand still,” Rosa snapped at Charles with a voice as sharp as a whip itself.
Charles got the message loud and clear, not daring to protest. He cast a glance at Evelyn as his strong, defined hands moved to unbutton his coat. He shrugged it off and handed it to Tony, who stood silently by his side. Now, just in a crisp white shirt that highlighted his broad shoulders and narrow waist, he waited.
Rosa marched over to the shelf where the family kept their disciplinary tools. She picked up a whip and handed it to Evelyn. “Eve, don’t go easy on him. This fool needs a wake-up call.”
