Her eyes flew open, disbelief washing over her as she stared at the tightly shut door. Charles had actually left her behind to chase after Evelyn!
By the time Charles dashed down the stairs, Brooks was already bundling Evelyn into a car. The vehicle sped off right before his eyes. Charles jumped into his car, and Aiden floored the accelerator, racing after them.
Sena hurried to the restaurant, arriving just in time to see Brooks carrying a clearly drugged Evelyn into the car. Jealousy flared, turning her eyes a fiery red. ‘Evelyn, that conniving bitch!’ Sena was livid when she found out Rosa had set Evelyn and Brooks up for a date. He was the man she’d been pining for. She wanted to run to Rosa and shout that Evelyn was a deceitful bitch and didn’t deserve Brooks.
Evelyn had been with Charles for five years. He had used her up, and she even had his child. How could such a woman be worthy of Brooks? But her mother stopped her. Rosa couldn’t remember the past five years, and causing a stir would only get Sena in trouble with both her uncle and cousin.
Fuming, Sena vented to Dahlia over the phone, railing about how unworthy Evelyn was. Dahlia suggested that if Sena thought Evelyn didn’t deserve Brooks, then she should set her up with someone who did. That was when Michael came to mind. She had him pick up Evelyn instead of Brooks, drug her, and close the deal. Sena’s job was to keep Brooks distracted.
But she hadn’t counted on Brooks merely dropping her at the hospital, arranging for a nurse, and leaving immediately. Blinded by jealousy and rage, with nowhere to vent her fury, Sena turned it on Michael. That useless fool! She’d bought him time, and he still hadn’t managed to sleep with Evelyn.
The more Sena thought about it, the angrier she got. Clacking in her high heels, she stormed upstairs, her rage boiling over. She reached Michael’s door, seething.
Inside, the drug had taken a strong hold on Michael. He had seen Evelyn leave and was ready to drag her back, but when he opened the door, Charles and Brooks stood there Terrified, he quickly retreated to his room. After they were gone, the drug’s effects overwhelmed him. He was out of control and fiffed with an
uncontrollable desire.
With bloodshot eyes, he dialed his phone, calling for a girl to be brought over. The doorbell rang, and with his mind muddled, he couldn’t remember how long it had been since he made the call. He assumed it was his delivery, and opened the door. Under the influence of the potent drug, he saw a woman standing there, didn’t register who it was, and pulled her inside.
“Ah! Michael! Look closely. I’m Sena!
If you touch me, you’re dead! Let go of me! Are you listening?” Sena’s anger turned to terror as she realized Michael had lost all reason. He couldn’t hear her furious shouts, and his hands began tearing at her clothes. Like a wild beast, he lunged at her savagely.
Soon, the room echoed with piercing screams. Dahlia hadn’t caught up with Charles at the emergency exit, and was about to leave when she saw Michael dragging Sena into the room. Michael’s eyes were wild like a beast’s, and briefly met Dahlia’s.

knowing this, Dahlia’s gaze lingered on the closed door for just a moment before she turned away headed to the elevator, and pressed the down button. She walked away nonchalantly as if she hadn’t seen anything.
Sena was a foolish woman who prided herself on her wealthy background. Now, she was about to fall from grace, never to rise again. It would only make her loathe Evelyn even more.
