There was no answer she could give.

Still, Vince’s wife remembered how he always talked about a colleague from

Cabinda. That man was impressive, the kind of person who actually got things done.

The truth was, it was Scott’s team who had collected all the evidence of Vince’s bribes and sent it in anonymously. There was no way he’d turn around and clear Vince’s name.

As they walked back down the hill she waited until they were almost at the car before finally asking, “Scott, are you sure you’re not still upset about what happened before p>

If he said he wasn’t upset at all, it would be a lie.

But the part where he wanted to marry her and be with her for real-that was completely true.

no. For adults, not saying no basically means yes, right p>
