Chapter 1155

Skye was right there with them. Catching Susanna’s bold question, she glanced at Tegan, then shot a look over at Finley.
“She asked you a question. When are you marrying her?”
It was an aggressively direct intervention.
Tegan quickly grabbed Susanna’s arm. “Susie, stop talking nonsense. Dr. Yoder and I are just…”
“He likes you. I can tell,” Susanna interrupted. “He likes you way more than Uriah ever did.”
Tegan was speechless. Good lord, did they really have to do this here? And was that really how relationships worked?
“Plus, I refuse to believe you could still be in love with Uriah after the way that psycho Leslie tortured you,” Susanna added.
Even if Tegan had once loved Uriah enough to want to marry him, Susanna knew that the moment Tegan decided to leave for Yoreland, she had completely let him go. Besides, with a sister-in-law from hell like Leslie, her life would have been a nightmare. It was a blessing they hadn’t tied the knot; Leslie would have ruined their marriage anyway.
“Now isn’t the time for this,” Tegan hissed gently. “We’re at Star’s wedding.”
And what a wedding it was. It was so massive that getting close to Stella was nearly impossible. Billionaires from all over the globe had flown in for the event. None of them had ever seen a spectacle on this scale.
Ronald was truly holding Stella on a pedestal, giving her the most prestigious status imaginable.
“I am so jealous of her,” Susanna sighed. She had never been envious of anyone in her life, but looking at Stella, she couldn’t help it.
“Hull will give you a beautiful wedding too,” Tegan smiled.
“After seeing something this grand and magical, what could possibly top it?” Susanna joked.
There was no point in comparing. Who could compete with Ferrowland’s Mr. Quinn? The amount of thought and effort he had poured into marrying his precious girl was beyond words.
“True,” Tegan agreed.
No one could surpass this wedding.
Looking at Stella beneath her white veil, she was breathtakingly beautiful, yet she looked so delicately small standing in front of Ronald.
“They’re so perfect for each other,” Susanna whispered. “Back when he came to Portis City to pick her up, I wondered what kind of wedding a man like him would eventually give her.”
“And now you know?”
“Yeah. I know, and I’m totally blown away,” Susanna nodded.
From the moment she stepped into the venue, her jaw had been on the floor. Everyone had seen luxury
weddings before, but they usualet
followed the same predictable formula. Stella’s wedding, however, was the event of the century. The security alone was strictly top-tier, personally overseen by Idris.
Through the sheer fabric of her veil, Stella looked up at Ronald.
In that moment, her heart finally found total peace. Especially when Ronald slid, the ring onto her finger hot tears welled up in her eyes. The secret dream she hat hidden deep- inside her heart had finally become her reality.
He had always kept her by his side. He had always protected her fiercely. But now, she felt an absolute, unshakable security-a feeling she had never experienced before.
When Ronald lifted her veil and saw the tears shining in her eyes, his chest tightened. “Star?”
Stella’s tears spilled over. “Am I dreaming?”
She was so terrified that she was going to wake up. This was the man she had loved since she first
understood what love was. Barnet’

then, she had to call him her brother, even as she spent countless nights fantasizing about this exact moment.
