Chapter 716
[ 523 words ]
Susanna: “…Wait, you mean I can’t learn this?”
But Hull’s got some serious skills, right?
She’d seen him in action herself.
Stella: “Look, maybe you should just train with my sister’s crew for a while. I promise, one month with them and you’ll be a whole new woman.”
Susanna: “Your sister?”
“Yeah, I only trained for a month myself, and you’ve totally got it in you.”
A month? To end up with moves like Stella’s?
How brutal would that be? Would she have to train day and night, no breaks?
Susanna: “Uh…”
“Susie, you know things are gonna get dangerous for you soon. You have to be ready.”
Susanna had been about to chicken out, honestly. All she really wanted was to learn to shoot and run fast.
But after hearing Stella say that, she just didn’t have the heart to back down.
Her biggest goal was to stop being a burden to her mom, after all.
“Alright. I’ll do it.”
Stella: “Great, it’s settled.”
Once Susanna agreed, Stella didn’t waste a second. She hung up and immediately called Yvonne.
As soon as the call connected, Yvonne picked up, sounding totally out of breath. “Star?”
“Hey, Sis, where are you?”
“Scotland. I’ll bring you something back-these Scottish shortbreads are to die for.”
Stella: “Wait, you’re in Scotland already?”
That was fast!
But then again, Yvonne was always flying off somewhere at the drop of a hat.
“Yeah, Skye’s here too. Anyway, why’d you call? Is Ronald giving you a hard time again? Listen, if Mom’s mad at you, I can help, but if it’s Ronald, you’re on your own.”
Stella: “.
See? Everybody’s got someone they’re scared of.
In Yvonne’s case,
it was definitely Ronald. Stella used to be nervous around him herself.
“It’s not that. I actually need a favor.”
“What’s up?”
“It’s about Susie.”

Stella quickly filled Yvonne in on Susanna’s situation and asked Yvonne could send someone tough-like the trainer who’do whipped Stella into shape.

Yvonne listened and then replied,
“Forget someone else. I’ll do it myself.”
Stella: “Wait, really? Are you sure…..?”
vel
Yvonne was tough, no doubt, but when she took charge, she was merciless. Stella still felt sore just remembering her own training days.
Yvonne: “What?
Sat? Didn’t you say she
wants to get back to Black Gate as soon as possible to help your mom? needs to get ready fast.
Stella: “… You’re right.”
“I just don’t want her to end up in the hospital on your watch.”
Yvonne: “What, you think I bite?”
Stella: “No, no,
of course not!”
Yvonne: “Exactly.”
With the way Yvonne said it, Stella knew she meant business—and there was no changing her mind.
But wasn’t she super busy right now?
They chatted a bit longer about Susanna, but somehow the topic drifted to Xander.
Thinking of Xander, Stella remembered something she’d overheard that morning between him and Ronald.
She lowered her voice, sounding all mysterious. “Sis, guess what? The guy you spent the night with two nights ago? It wasn’t Dan.”
Yvonne: “What?!”
Stella: “I heard it myself. Xander told Ronald, the guy in your bed was him.”
Yvonne:
Seriously? He had to go around saying that? And to Ronald of all people?
Did he think taking the blame was some kind of honor?
Maybe she should just buy him a megaphone, so he could announce it to everyone in Ferrowland.
“Please. You believe that joker? As if he’d even dare,” Yvonne scoffed.
