Chapter 1163
[ 593 words ]
Ronald returned to the master suite.
The maids had just finished carefully removing Stella’s makeup, moving with utmost silence to avoid waking her. They had completed her skincare routine and gently dressed her in silk pajamas.
Seeing Ronald enter, a maid bowed respectfully. “Mr. Quinn.”
Ronald waved his hand, dismissing everyone from the room.
The moment the heavy door clicked shut, his gaze locked onto the petite figure curled up on the bed, his eyes darkening with intense affection.
After a quick shower, he slid under the covers and pulled her warm body into his embrace.
He carefully positioned a specialized maternity pillow beneath her growing belly, ensuring she wouldn’t wake up uncomfortable.
Stella whimpered softly, trying to shift her weight.
Instead, she rolled right into his muscular chest. “Water, Ronald,” she mumbled. “I want water.”
“Alright.”
He grabbed the glass from the nightstand and helped her take a few slow sips.
The massive wedding had completely drained her.
Once she had enough, she nestled back into the pillows and instantly fell asleep.
Holding her close, Ronald felt as though he had the entire world in his arms.
…
Meanwhile, Yvonne strode into the house from outside, her phone pressed to her
ear.
On the other end of the line, Mona sounded completely hysterical. “Yvonne, what the hell do you know?!”
“You deliberately made Tristan suspect me! He’s already sent investigators to Novaderma, and Berry is trapped there!”
“Since you’ve taken it this far, why not just give me a quick death?!”
Mona was spiraling into madness.
No one understood the suffocating wave of despair she was drowning in.
She couldn’t let Tristan’s men find Berry, nor could she let Tristan discover her existence.
Especially not with Berry’s face surgically altered to look identical to Stella’s.
Yvonne was far too ruthless…
Only in this agonizing moment did Mona realize that Yvonne was intentionally drawing out her suffering.
She already knew everything…
Yvonne let out a dark chuckle. “A quick death? What makes you think you have the
right to demand anything from me?”
She scoffed at the sheer audacity.
Someone as vile as Mona didn’t deserve a painless end.
“You…” Mona stammered.
“Honestly, the second I casually dropped Berry’s name, you should have realized I already knew exactly what you were up to” Yvonne sale Coolly
It was true.
Mentioning Berry meant Yvonne was fully aware of her sordid activities in Novaderma.
She knew Berry’s face was now a near-perfect match for Stella’s.
Hearing those words, Mona’s legs
gave out. She collapsed onto the et

floor in a heap,
violently. “Y-you know everything?”
“You’ve got some nerve, trying to pull off such a massive conspiracy against the Quinn family.”
It was an astronomically risky gamble.
If Mona had succeeded, it wouldn’t have just been an infiltration-they would have
lost their precious Star forever.
It was terrifyingly close…
Once this plan was executed successfully, Stella would be gone.
“Then… what exactly do you want?” Mona gasped.
“Nothing much. I just want you to live in absolute agony. I want you to constantly look over your shoulder. terrified of my next move. The anxiety you’re feeling right now? It’s just the beginning.”
Yvonne’s goal was simple: keep Mona completely in the dark, letting her own paranoia tear her apart from the inside.
That was the ultimate torture.
Mona’s breathing turned ragged.
Before she could plead her case, Yvonne ended the call.
Listening to the dead tone, Mona felt a sharp, suffocating pain seize her chest.
Right then, only one terrifying realization echoed in her mind: It was over!
Their grand scheme was completely dead.
Her phone buzzed in her hand. It was Berry.
Mona locked herself in her bedroom.
When she first learned Tristan had dispatched men to Novaderma, she had thrown
a massive fit, but it hadn’t changed his mind.
Now, Tristan was treating her with absolute, freezing indifference.
