Chapter 204
Chapter 204:
Brinley’s eyes swept over the three men, cool and unruffled, as if their taunts were nothing more than background noise.
She strolled toward the red sports car, her gaze tracing the sleek modifications etched into its frame, and remarked evenly, “Nice work on the car. It’s a shame it’s stuck with a driver like you p>
“What did you just say?” the blond man snapped, his temper flaring. “You know nothing. I poured a fortune into these upgrades. This car is leagues better than your pile of scrap p>
“Talk doesn’t prove performance,” Brinley shot back, her eyes glinting with defiance. “Care to race p>
The three men froze, clearly caught off guard by her challenge.

The blond let out a mocking laugh. “A race? With you? A woman p>
“What’s the matter?” Brinley raised a brow. “You were bold enough to harass us on the road, but now you’re backing out of a race with me p>
“Backing out? Please,” the blond barked, stung by her words. “Fine, we’ll race. What’s the penalty for losing p>
“The loser admits defeat, apologizes, and promises to stop causing trouble on this road,” Brinley said, her voice calm but commanding.
“Done. It’s a deal,” the blond agreed without hesitation. “The course is this side road. Three laps, back and forth. First to finish wins p>
“Agreed,” Brinley said with a nod.
“Hold on,” the man in the floral shirt cut in, smirking. “What are you racing in? That junk of yours? Hope it doesn’t fall apart mid-lap p>
Brinley glanced at her car, fully aware it wasn’t built for a high-intensity race. Her gaze then settled on the blond man’s red sports car.
“I’ll drive yours,” she said coolly.
“What?” His jaw dropped. “You’re driving my car p>
“What’s wrong?” Brinley pressed. “Are you scared p>
“Not a chance,” he snapped, tossing her the keys. “Go ahead. Use it. I can’t wait to see what you can do with it p>
Brinley caught the keys and turned to Robert. “Stay here p>
“Mrs. Moore, are you sure?” Robert asked, his voice tight with concern.
“Don’t worry,” she reassured him, her confident smile unwavering.
She slid into the driver’s seat of the red sports car, quickly familiarizing herself with its controls. Though it was her first time behind the wheel of this vehicle, Brinley had an instinctive talent for mastering any car.
