Chapter 766

Carly’s expression flickered for a split second, but she quickly denied it. “Hailey, you’re wrong! Adam would never be with Celine!” “And what makes you so certain, Carly?” After all, Adam was bound by the Heartstring Venom. The moment he got too close to Celine, he would be struck by an unbearable headache. Of course , Carly had no intention of revealing this secret to Hailey.

Instead, she smirked knowingly and said, “Hailey, I’d bet anything-Adam is absolutely not with Celine.” “Alright, let’s make a wager. If Adam isn’t with Celine, I lose, and I’ll call you ‘Your Royal Highness.'” “Deal. But if he is with Celine, then I lose, and I’ll call you’ Your Royal Highness. With that, the bet was sealed – whoever lost would have to address the winner as “Your Royal Highness”. Hailey picked up her phone again. “Carly, it’s time for the truth.

I’m calling Celine right now.” “Go ahead,” Carly shot back. “I’ll wait right here. Hailey, you’re definitely calling me ‘Your Royal Highness’ today!” Without hesitation, Hailey dialed Celine’s number. The melodious ringtone rang twice before the call was picked —- up, and Celine’s clear, elegant voice came through. “Hello, Hailey.” “Hey, Celine! Guess who I’m with-Carly! Adam was supposed to have dinner with her at Freeman restaurant tonight, but he never showed up.

So, we made a bet -I’m sure he’s with you. Come on, Celine, is he there?” “Hailey, I-ah!” Celine suddenly let out a startled gasp. Hailey immediately stood up, gripping her phone tightly. ” Celine, what’s going on?” she asked, her voice filled with worry. “Adam, what are you doing? Let go of me-” Upon hearing Celine’s voice, Hailey’s eyes lit up-Adam had indeed gone to find Celine, and now they were together.

“Celine, you’re with Adam, aren’t you-” Before Hailey could finish her sentence, the call was suddenly disconnected, replaced by the beeping of a busy line. Carly sprang to her feet, staring at Hailey in shock. “Hailey, what did you just say? Is Adam really with Celine?” Atriumphant smile spread across Hailey’s face. “That’s right, Carly. You heard it too, didn’t you?

Adam is with Celine right now.” 7 Carly felt like she had been thrown into an abyss, unable to understand how Adam could ditch her to be with Celine instead. —- What was even more bewildering was how Adam, who had been affected by the Heartstring Venom, could still be with Celine. It was utterly incomprehensible , and she refused to accept it. She knew exactly how powerful the Heartstring Venom from. Yoruzen was, and she couldn’t believe for a second that it couldn’t control Adam.

Hailey strolled over. “Carly, do you remember our bet? Looks like you lost. Now, go ahead and address me as ‘Your Royal Highness! ‘” “Twon’t!” Carly’s anger flared. “I won’t! I refuse to believe Adam is with Celine! You’re lying to me!” “Carly, you really won’t believe it until you see it, will you? If you’re still unsure, I can take you there so you can see it for yourself.” “See for myself?” “Yes, seeing is believing.

You’ll have no excuses left once you witness Adam with Celine.” Carly clenched her fists , her resolve hardening . She simply couldn’t bring herself to accept it. “Fine! Let’s go right now! Your words mean nothing -I need to see it with my own eyes! “
