Chapter 106

“Chris, cancel all my meetings until further notice,” Gabriel instructed over the phone, his tone calm but firm.
“Another thing” he added, pausing briefly as he turned toward the window, “I won’t be around for a while. A week, maybe. Just handle things over there. Alright, bye for now p>
He ended the call and let out a soft sigh, staring out at the city below.
It had been three days since he started taking care of Isla himself. Even though she still suffered from bouts of morning sickness, she was clearly getting better. Maybe it was because he never left her side, or maybe because he made sure she ate properly.
Whatever the reason might be, she no longer looked pale or weak. She looked radiant now and her skin glowing, her face brighter. She looked more alive now.
Today was a special day. He had promised that they would finally move into their new house. Despite her occasional mood swings and quiet attitude toward him, Isla was genuinely excited.
Her heart fluttered with joy. Gabriel had bought her luxury cars, jewelry, and clothes before–but this, this was different. A new home. Their own space. It wasn’t just a gift to her; it felt like a blessing from God. With her pregnancy and this new beginning, she felt a deep sense of peace and gratitude that words couldn’t describe.
Gabriel might not see it from her perspective, but to her, this home meant far more than he could ever imagine.
She stepped out of the walk–in closet, looking effortlessly stunning. She wore white shorts and a loose purple sweater that barely hid her soft curves. Her white sneakers gleamed, and dark sunglasses framed her face. Her long blonde hair flowed down her back like silk, shining under the lights in the room.
Gabriel turned from the window when he heard her footsteps. His eyes darkened instantly as he looked at her. How could she look even more beautiful now that she was pregnant? His jaw tightened, and his chest rose heavily with desire.
He wanted her. Right there, right now.
He could have her–there was nothing stopping him. The doctor had only advised him to be gentle with her, and he could do
that. But he knew he had to wait. Read full story at.net
Three days without touching her had driven him half mad, yet somehow, he had managed to control himself. Still, every glance, every smile from her was pushing him closer to the edge.
She might try to hide it, pretend she still resented him, but he saw through it all. He knew she still craved him just as much as he
craved her.
“ I’m ready,” Isla said cheerfully, her voice snapping him out of his thoughts.
He looked at her again, his gaze softening. “You look beautiful, my love,” he breathed.
Her cheeks flushed a deep red, and she quickly turned her face away, pretending his words hadn’t affected her. But Gabriel saw the way her lips trembled slightly, how her hands fidgeted nervously by her side.
He walked toward her with a steady step. Her heart pounded faster the closer he got. She could be angry at him all she wanted- she could even pretend she hadn’t forgiven him–but deep down, she knew she was falling for him all over again.
When he reached her, his familiar scent wrapped around her, warm and intoxicating. He pulled her gently against his chest, his hand resting at the small of her back. His lips brushed her forehead tenderly, and her breath caught in her throat.
Then, his mouth moved closer to her ear, his voice low and rough.
“The first thing I want to do in our new house,” he whispered, “is to have you all to myself. You can’t imagine how much I crave

to be inside you right now. But…“–he paused, tightening his hold on her waist-“I’ll wait for the right time p>
Before Isla could react, Gabriel’s lips crashed against hers. The kiss was deep and hungry, filled with every emotion he had been holding back for days.
And though she wanted to stay mad, her heart betrayed her. She kissed him back with the same hunger and need.
Her anger could wait.
Right now, she needed this–she needed him–and she gave herself to the moment completely.
