Grace said without hesitation, “Austin, she’s your grandma.”
Austin greeted Jasmine obediently, “Grandma.”
Jasmine was overjoyed and cried tears of happiness.
She carefully pulled Austin into her arms and said, “You’ve been through a lot, Austin.”
Austin had always been respectful and polite to the elderly. Seeing Jasmine hug her and cry, she gently stroked Jasmine’s hair like an adult comforting a child.
After bringing Jasmine home, Grace thought of Brian and felt guilty, saying, “Mom, Brian lost his memory when he tried to save me. I’m sorry.”

Soon, Jasmine realized that Brian was pretending to have amnesia.

Grace pursed her lips and said after a moment, “He’ll get better as the doctor said his condition has improved.”
Jasmine nodded slowly and asked tentatively, “Grace, now that we’ve found the child and our family is reunited, will you accept Brian when he regains his memory?”
While Jasmine was asking, she observed Grace’s reaction.
Grace shook her head. “I don’t know.”
Seeing her uncertainty, Jasmine patted her thigh and reassured her, “It’s okay. I won’t force you. You can make your own decisions.”
Jasmine wasn’t worried as she knew Grace was already wavering and considering getting back together with Brian. Hence, it was just a matter of time.
Austin sat obediently at the side and seemed to be playing with herself, but she had memorized their conversation.
After dinner with Grace and Austin, Jasmine left.
Grace had just finished with the child’s matters and was busy with work again, Previously, there was a huge pile of work that needed her to handle personally, so she had been bringing Austin to the company for the past few days.
On the weekend, Grace had to go to the office and work overtime. Austin woke up in the morning and yawned as she asked Grace, “Mom, I don’t want to go to the office today as want to sleep at home. Is that okay?”
Grace asked gently, “Did you not sleep well last night?” “Yeah.”
“Okay, but stay at home and don’t wander off.”
