Carter firmly grasped her wrist and she couldn’t break free at all.
He let out a cold snort, his lips curling slightly at one corner, causing the muscles on his face to bunch up.
Grace said, “Carter, please show some respect. If you don’t want to invest in my project, it’s fine. We both do business in Capern City, and it’s better not to ruin our professional relationship. What do you think?”
Carter retorted, “Are you trying to threaten me? How long have you been in Capern City? You don’t understand the situation and I’m helping you because I see potential in you.”
Grace’s demeanor turned cold as she raised her hand and deftly knocked her knee against his wrist.
Carter exclaimed in pain and instinctively let go of her wrist.
“You little bitch, you dared to hit me! Come on, catch her!” Carter shouted.
His assistant immediately stepped forward to block Grace’s way.
Grace looked at the assistant coldly. “Step aside if you don’t want to get in trouble.”
Her arrogant tone made Carter even angrier, and his desire to dominate her grew stronger.
With the assistant blocking the front, Carter lunged at Grace from behind.
Grace swiftly dodged, causing him to land on his assistant, resulting in awkward contact between them.
“How dare you dodge? I’ll teach you a lesson,” Carter said furiously.
The two men tried to overpower Grace, prompting her to instinctively grab a chair. “Stay back!”
At that moment, the door was forcefully kicked twice.
The three of them were stunned and Carter looked very unhappy. “Who the fuck is that?”
The door was kicked with increasing force, producing a loud thud.
The final kick broke the locked door open.
A grim and stern face appeared in the doorway.
Grace looked at Brian standing at the door while exuding a cold aura.
Brian glanced at Grace, noticing the chair in her hand. Feeling that the situation was safe, she finally put
the chair down and rubbed her sore
arm.
Seeing that Grace was looking fine, Brian then turned his gaze to Carten with a gloomy expression.
Carter was so frightened that his hand trembled while saying, “Mr. Brian, why are you here?”
Brian narrowed his eyes and turned his gaze to Grace as he walked towards her.
In a low voice, he asked, “Did he harm you in any way?”
Grace shook her head and asked, “Why are you here?”

Even a fool could understand that Grace belonged to Brian.

As soon as he finished speaking, he grabbed Carter’s wrist and twisted it, causing him to cry out in pain.
