The moment the video call rang, Stuart answered it. The source of this content ɪs.net
“Hello, Freya.”
“Dad.” Caitlin smiled at him, then turned the camera to Carey’s face. “Look who it
is.”
In that instant, Stuart forgot how to breathe. He shouted with pure, unadulterated joy, “Carey! Carey, is that you?”
“Dad, please, try to stay calm. It’s Mom, but she has amnesia and doesn’t remember much. I’m taking her back to the hotel now.”
Stuart didn’t care about any of that. “Freya, I’m booking a flight to Valerium right now! You and your mother wait for me! You have to wait for me!”
He was in such a hurry that as he rushed into the courtyard, one of his slippers flew off his foot.
“Dad, slow down! Check the flight schedules and book your ticket first!”
Although the Gonzales family owned a private jet, international flight paths required clearance two weeks in advance. Stuart’s impromptu trip meant he couldn’t use his own plane.
“Right, right! I’ll check the flights now!”
As he opened the travel app, another thought struck him. “Oh, Freya, your grandma doesn’t know the good news yet, does she? I’ll go tell her right now!”
Soon, both the Richards and Gonzales households were buzzing with joyful excitement. Though miles apart, the two families were now preparing to journey to the same country, to the same destination.
Back at Vance Castle, Rosemary’s birthday party was still underway.
Dowager Vance stood in a corner of the banquet hall, her face a thunderous
mask. “Have you found that little tramp yet?”
The butler looked uneasy. “Not yet, ma’am.”
The Dowager lowered her voice, her eyes filled with venom. “Keep searching! I don’t care if you have to tear this place apart brick by brick. find that whore! I’m sure she’s hiding somewhere, cheating on my son!”
The thought of that wretched Carey daring to betray her dead son made the Dowager tremble with rage Just wait. Once she got her hands on Carey she would make her suffer a fate worse than death.
“Yes, Dowager.”
Will was surrounded by a crowd of chattering men and women. As he nursed his third cocktail out of s f sheer boredom, he suddenly realized that not only was Caitlin gone, but Celia had vanished as well.
Where did they go?
Did they leave?
Will had only come to Rosemary’s party for Caitlin. Now that she was gone… there was really no reason for him to stay.
With that thought, he picked up his hat, placed it on his head, and stood to leave. Just then, the music for the first dance began to play in the hall.
Rosemary looked up and saw Will walking in her direction. Step by step, each one seemed to land directly on her heart. No one could possibly understand how thrilled she was at that moment.
*He’s coming. He’s coming!*
Will was finally coming to ask her for the opening dance. In a moment, all those who had laughed at her would be eating their words. She was about to become the object of everyone’s envy.
Since Will was being so bold, she decided she should be bold too. She couldn’t just stand there; she had to give him some sign of encouragement.
Her eyes coy and demure, Rosemary smoothed down her dress. As Will drew closer, she proactively extended her hand and said in a sweet, lilting voice, “My Lord, I accept.”
