Osvaldo watched his sleeping wife on the bed as she slept so soundly. After today, he does not think he’d leave her side anytime soon. Penny was worth more than his life.
He held her hands, leaning down as he pressed his lips gently against her when the door knob twisted and both Xavier and Barry stepped inside. Osvaldo turned to look at them both by the wall where he sat.
It turns out he was faster than he thought he could move.
Xavier glanced at the bodyguard, before turning to his daughter who slept so soundly on the bed. He didn’t know why he hated this man for no reason. Maybe because he reminded him so much of his mad son in law.
Everyday he saw Osvaldo close to his daughter, it felt like the madman was close. So he’d so anything to seperate them from even seeing each other because he knows how obsessed Penny is with the madman. It’s a miracle she’s stayed to this point without him.
At some point, Xavier felt like her soul was linked to his. Maybe after her last experience with him, she could finally see how toxic that mad heir was.
What he hadn’t yet understand was why the Adkins were still so nice to Penny, even though it was obvious she had just stolen their master’s inheritance and might end up loving someone else in the future.
“How’s she doing Landon?” Barry asked staring at his niece.
“She should be awake soon. When she does, I’ll let you all know. For now, she needs rest and peace for the babies.” Xavier turned to look at him with a frown.
“You’re not a doctor, how can you know what she wants?” He asked.
“It’s called common sense sir.” Osvaldo looked at him, both men sending invisible daggers to themselves as they stared at each other. Osvaldo can barely contain his rage.
Every single day, this ass hole reminds him how much he hates him so much. If he would be permitted, just for a few hours, to turn Xavier into a monkey. The jungle is where he belongs.
“Y… You’re right Landon.” Barry cut in with a small laugh. “My wife has been pregnant before Xavier. And sleeping was all the doctor advised she did for the babies. It’s always very healthy for them.” Barry said trying to ease the tension in the room.
He knew for a fact that one day he’ll would break lose between both men. And he hoped that day, he should have already been dead. A man who bullet cannot penetrate through his skin, should be pampered.
“You’re doing a good job Landon. Take good care of my niece.” Barry said.
“Let’s go Xavier. You also need rest after the days stress.” Barry held his brothers arm, whose gaze was still on Landon.
“Alert me the moment she wakes up. I’ll tell everyone not to disturb her sleep.” He gave Osvaldo a once over, before stepping out of the room with his brother.
“Mary talked about changing the house location. But what use is that if we don’t know who had kidnapped my child.” Xavier said as he walked. He spoke in a more serious tone.
“Isn’t it obvious? The gardener did. He should never leave this house without Landon. We’ll also have to tell Penny about it too. Landon is her safest place now.” Barry thought, as long as Penny was close to her husband, she was safe.
Osvaldo is more than capable to saving her everytime. At least he’s not as weak as his father was.
“She has a father to always keep her safe Barry.” Xavier said. “I need camera’s installed around the mansion. Especially in Landon’s and Penny’s room.” Barry looked up at his brother.
“I want it done immediately. We cannot take any chances Barry. I almost lost my whole existence today.” Xavier walked away and Barry was left to himself.
He didn’t like getting caught up in any mess, but here he was. Harbouring a huge secret that could change everything, either to the best, or to the worst. He wondered if Penny knew that her mad husband was here with her.
Barry turned around. He needed to talk to Osvaldo, concerning Penny and the organization after her. There must be something they can all do about it.
Meanwhile, in the room, Osvaldo’s cellphone rang and he picked it up.
“We’ve found out everything about Polar and his grandson master Osvaldo.” Timothy said gently.
“What is it?”
“Well, Polar’s daughter just gave birth to a son. It turns out he made his daughter marry into the worst family in the country. The dumbest people on earth, so that none of his seed will fall victim to the organization they created.” Timothy said.
“So they want my crazy seed, but not theirs?” Osvaldo asked and no answer came.
“They might as well take us all. I want to destroy that organization once and for all. If I can’t take it down, then I’ll be the new boss.” He said gently already thinking of a plan in his head and he smiled.
“Kidnap the dumb child and keep him away for a while. I need to mess with that bastard.”
“Yes sir.”
The door opened almost immediately and Osvaldo turned off his cellphone. He let out a sigh as he saw Barry step in. “Can we talk Landon.”
“Don’t call me that. I’m Osvaldo.” He said. He hated the name Landon so much now, and didn’t want to be associated with it.
“Osvaldo.” Barry corrected himself.
“My brother was thinking of heading to a new location.” Barry said. Since Xavier’s plan collided with what they had talked about previously, he thought it was the best if both he and Osvaldo planned it instead.
If there’s anyone who knows how to protect Penny, it should be the madman…
