Chapter 288 Alpha King Scandal

The livestream went live at nine AM sharp.

Elara had to admit the filming schedule was pretty sweet.

She still got three days off each week to relax.

Recording the show was basically like hanging out at home anyway, just with more people watching.

She’d been up early today. Breakfast was finished by eight thirty.

While Alpha Dominic was working out in their private gym down the hall, Elara walked around their spacious penthouse living room. The movement helped with digestion.

She paused to look at the floor to ceiling windows that showed an amazing view of the city.

That prenatal nutrition class had actually been worth the money.

She’d been watching her portion sizes and eating smaller meals throughout the day like they’d taught her.

After about thirty minutes of walking around their open living space, Elara felt ready to relax again.

She headed back to their master bedroom to put her feet up.

Alpha Dominic came out of their bathroom just as she walked into their corner bedroom.

His hair was still wet from his post workout shower.

“Finish your breakfast, babe?”

Elara rubbed her still flat belly. “Every last bite of those blueberry pancakes.”

“Shouldn’t you be heading to the office soon though?”

The man who used to be at his pack office by nine was now finding excuses to stay home until after ten most mornings.

Alpha Dominic flashed that mischievous grin. “I’m leaving in a few. Oh, by the way, I got a little surprise. Since we’ve got time, want to check it out?”

Elara raised an eyebrow. “What kind of surprise?”

“The good kind. Trust me.” He disappeared into their walk in closet for a moment.

The viewers watching the live feed caught that devilish expression and immediately started jumping to conclusions in the chat.

[What did he buy? Please tell me it’s not some weird bedroom thing!]

Elara crossed her arms, trying not to laugh. “Dominic, you’re being dramatic again.”

“Me? Dramatic? Never.” He came back out with something hidden behind his back.

Just as the comments section was going completely crazy, everyone saw what he was holding.

A professional stethoscope, shining silver under their bedroom lights.

“Why on earth would you buy that?” Elara asked, genuinely confused.

“I did some research on medical websites and pregnancy forums. This is supposed to be the best way to listen for fetal movement and heartbeats.”

Elara was completely speechless.

He completely ignored his wife’s epic eye roll and dropped to one knee beside their king size bed.

His button down shirt was slightly open at the collar, showing off his throat. Kneeling there like he was about to propose again, he looked absolutely devastating.

“Hold still.” Alpha Dominic pressed the stethoscope against her barely there bump. “Hey there, baby. Daddy’s trying to talk to you. Are you gonna be Daddy’s little princess?”

Elara couldn’t help but roll her eyes again. “This is so ridiculous, Dom.”

He was completely in his own world now, looking dead serious.

“Oh my God, babe, the baby moved! She just rolled over, like she’s actually responding to me. We’re totally having a girl!”

[I still think Elara should have a boy first. Having a little sister would be better for him.]

Elara swatted his hand away. “Alright, Romeo, time for you to actually head to the pack office.”

She suddenly remembered this so called surprise had been sitting in their bedroom for several days. She hadn’t thought much of it at the time. He’d totally planned this whole performance for the cameras.

Elara couldn’t resist calling him out. “You specifically waited until we were filming to pull this stunt, didn’t you?”

Alpha Dominic put on his most innocent face. “Not at all. Do I look like the type who likes to show off our relationship?”

She wouldn’t necessarily say he was that type, but he was definitely shameless as hell!

Elara touched her belly and wondered how much she’d be showing in a few months. If this pregnancy turned out to be twins, that would be perfect. Otherwise, if she had a son and Alpha Dominic kept obsessing over having a daughter, she’d probably end up pregnant again.

She absolutely did not want to go through pregnancy twice. Once was going to be more than enough.

That evening, Alpha Dominic went through his baby listening ritual again. This time the cameras weren’t rolling.

Late that night, after everyone had gone to bed, a grainy paparazzi photo of Zack and Elara together suddenly exploded across Twitter and Instagram.
