The next morning, Elara was woken up by Alpha Dominic’s phone buzzing on his nightstand like an angry bee.

She buried herself deeper into their cotton sheets, kicking Alpha Dominic with her bare feet while putting a pillow over her head. “Your phone! Answer it already!”

Alpha Dominic groaned and reached for his iPhone in the dim morning light.

When he saw Walter’s name on the screen, his jaw got tight. His assistant never called this early unless something was seriously wrong.

Just as his Alpha anger was about to explode, Walter’s worried voice came through the phone. “Alpha King, you need to see this. There’s some really bad stuff trending about Luna Elara right now. Should I take it down?”

That got Alpha Dominic’s attention right away.

He sat up and opened Twitter, looking at the trending topics.

Wild stories about Alpha Zack and Elara were spreading fast across social media.

What kind of idiot was stupid enough to mess with the Alpha King’s mate?

His voice got ice cold. “Remove those trending topics now. And get our PR team ready for an emergency meeting at eight AM.”

“Already working on it, Alpha King,” Walter said immediately.

Thank God he caught this media mess early enough to control it.

Within minutes, those trending topics started disappearing.

But the harder they tried to stop the gossip, the more it spread underground.

Pack members were talking about it in private chats, human friends were posting secret messages on Instagram, and enemy packs were probably laughing at the drama.

The rumors were spreading faster than they could stop them.

Alpha Dominic decided not to worry Elara with this mess while she was pregnant with their baby.

He quietly got out of bed and kissed her forehead softly.

“Alpha King, this Susan woman has been jealous of Luna Elara’s popularity on the show from the beginning. The ratings go up every time Luna appears on screen.”

“Maybe she thought hurting our Luna would make her more popular?” Walter suggested carefully.

Alpha Dominic’s eyes flashed dangerous gold. “Check everything about Susan Walsh and her family. If there’s anything bad, make it public. Let’s see if her pack still accepts the Walsh family after that.”

Walter couldn’t help but shiver. When the Alpha King’s protective side came out, he became completely ruthless.

What wolf could survive that kind of investigation? Not all packs were as strong and honest as the Wolfe family.

“Yes, Alpha King. But she’s pregnant…”

Alpha Dominic’s smile turned dangerous. “That’s exactly why we need to act fast. Find everything bad about her family, then let her choose if she wants to keep messing with my mate. I’m being nice by giving her a chance to stop.”

“She should be thankful I’m not showing up at their territory to talk to her personally.”

Walter quickly headed for the door, already calling their best investigators through the pack mind link.

When someone was stupid enough to threaten the Alpha King’s mate and unborn baby, they better pray for mercy, because they definitely weren’t getting any from Alpha Dominic Wolfe.
