Chapter 1120
[ 612 words ]
It was a massive incident like a kidnapping, yet Uriah hadn’t even believed Tegan.
If she actually married a man like that, there was no telling how Leslie would torture her in the future.
“Hey, Tegan, do you think Uriah and Leslie are actually biologically related?”
Tegan shook her head. “I don’t know.”
She had spent years around the Horner family and had never heard any rumors about it, so she couldn’t be sure.
But Leslie harboring romantic feelings for Uriah? That was an absolute fact.
“Whatever, it doesn’t matter,” Miriam sighed. “But when I barged into the hospital room, I overheard something. Mrs. Horner is already on her way to Yoreland.”
“You better be careful. Mrs. Horner treats Leslie like her most prized possession. She’ll definitely come looking for trouble with you.”
“It doesn’t matter,” Tegan replied. “I’m leaving tonight anyway.”
“Wait, leaving?”
“Yeah, I’m going to…” Tegan paused, then decided not to finish the sentence.
Miriam blinked at her. “It’s fine if you don’t want to tell me.”
Tegan smiled.
“As long as I’m out of Yoreland, it’s fine.”
Miriam nodded. “That’s good. They won’t be able to bother you anymore.”
Miriam was about to say something else when Tegan’s phone rang. It was Susie.
“Are you really not coming to Stella’s wedding?” Susie asked over the line. “That would be such a shame.”
The three of them were incredibly close. If Tegan didn’t show up, they would be heartbroken.
“I’ll be there,” Tegan said warmly.
On the other end of the line, Susie was already sitting on a private jet, happily munching on a piece of pineapple. Her eyes instantly lit up.
“I thought you said you were too busy?”
“The hospital approved my time off. I’ll be there,” Tegan said. “What about you? When are you leaving?”
“I’m already on the plane.”
It was Hull’s private jet.
“We were supposed to leave tonight, but Hull said he had some business to discuss
with Mr. Quinn, so we bumped up the schedule.”
“I’m leaving tonight,” Tegan said.
“Great! Then we’ll see each other tomorrow morning.”
“Yeah.”
They chatted for another minute before hanging up.
Knowing that Tegan was coming to Stella’s wedding put Susie in a fantastic mood.
She immediately dialed Stella’s number.
At that moment, Yvonne was helping Stella into her newly altered wedding dress. The dress had been let out quite a bit to accommodate ber pregnancy. FindNovel.net
It fit perfectly now, with even a little breathing room to spare.
Answering the call, Stella smiled. “I already know.”
“She called you? I really thought she wasn’t going to make it.”
“She didn’t call me,” Stella laughed. “Finley did.”
Finley had been the one to call her, and he had been incredibly smug about it.
He acted like he was fully in charge of Tegan’s schedule now. The sheer arrogance of the man…
“Finley? You mean that guy with the really annoying mouth who follows Mr. Quinn around?”
Even though Susie hadn’t interacted with Finley much, he had definitely left a lasting impression.
“That’s the one,” Stella said.
Honestly, there were plenty of times when Stella found Finley’s mouth incredibly annoying too.
“I’ll probably arrive in the middle of the night,” Susie said. “Don’t wait up for me. Get some sleep.”
“I know.”
With Hull by Susie’s side, there was no way Stella was going to wait up anyway.
Hull definitely wouldn’t drag Susie over to her place in the middle of the night.
They wrapped up the conversation and hung up. Knowing that both
Susie and Tegan were coming de
Stella visibly happier. .net>
“You really like Susie and the others, don’t you?” Yvonne noted.
“When I first moved to Portis City, Susie used to take me out to clear my bead all the time, happily burning through her mother’s money to treat me,” Stella recalled fondly
Yvonne stared at her.
Well, that was certainly loyal.
But she couldn’t help but wonder if Susie’s mom’s wallet had survived the ordeal.
