Chapter 816
Grace looked at his face and felt a little uncomfortable. His hair was white and he looked like he had aged more than ten years.
She said, “Thank you. How have you been?”
Marshall smiled. “Although my hair has turned white, I’m in good health. I must persevere until I find my daughter.”
Grace felt a lump in her throat. “Yes, you will find your daughter.”
“Thank you. Go find Brian.”
“Okay.”
In the crowd, Marshall’s back looked exceptionally lonely.
Looking at this grand engagement party, his heart was filled with complicated emotions.
Suddenly, Ava’s face and Louise’s face appeared in front of him.
He seemed to be able to hear Ava calling out to him, but her face was becoming more blurry.
Suddenly, his body tilted and he fell to the ground.
Just as he was about to fall, a hand suddenly supported him. “Are you alright?”
Marshall stared at the person in front of him for a long time. His vision gradually became clear, but his eyes revealed a terrified expression. “L-Louise.”

Marshall’s eyes widened. In the next second, he fainted.
Nelson walked over and looked around the banquet hall. He whispered to Alicia, “Take him to the hospital.”

Grace originally wanted to send Marshall home to rest after she finished dealing with her things, but when she returned a few minutes later, Marshall was nowhere to be seen.
Alicia drove Marshall to the hospital.
Marshall was suffering from high blood pressure. He woke up after lying in the hospital for a while.
When he saw Alicia, he was slightly distracted. He stared at her face carefully for
a while before realizing that she was not Louise.
Alicia smiled obediently and harmlessly. “My name is Alicia. I’m Grace’s friend. Everyone says that I look like a… bad person. I’m sorry for scaring you.”
Marshall looked around and asked in surprise, “Were you the one who sent me to the hospital?”
Alicia nodded. “That’s right. You fainted because of me. I have to send you to the hospital. Oh, it’s all my looks’ fault.”

“Me? I grew up in an orphanage. I don’t even know where I’m from,” Alicia pouted and said.
Marshall sighed. “How did you grow up in an orphanage? Where are your parents?”
Alicia shook her head. “I heard they abandoned me, so I don’t want to look for them anymore.”
“Poor kid.”
“Are you Grace’s relative? Or are you Mr. Francis’s friend? I haven’t asked how I should address you.”
Marshall said in a tired voice, “What an ill-fated relationship. I’m Marshall Adkins.”
“Mr. Adkins, Why do you look so
troubled? Alicia acted innocent and harmless. Marshall glanced at her.
He was
not too wary of her when he
thought about how she had kindly sent him to the hospital.
He sighed and said, “I’m already alone now.”
“How can that be? Don’t you have a son or daughter?”
Marshall’s eyes were dull. “No. They’re all gone. My daughter is probably suffering somewhere.”
