He used his phone to light the room up and realized that Grace was not inside. He then glanced at the back door and smiled. “Not so stupid after all,” he muttered.
His footsteps were light as he walked across the patio. As expected, he saw the lights in the hot spring.
Grace sat in the pool, her slender arms lazily resting on the sides of the pool.
There were also large bruises on her smooth and fair back.

He laid her on her side on the bed and was about to pour out the medicine when she rolled over and lay flat on the bed.
