After dropping York off at his hotel, Eleanor glanced at the clock and headed home to pick up her daughter. On the drive, her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, but one thing in particular made her feel profoundly grateful: this time, Mr. Windsor’s lab had nothing to do with lan.
lan had invested widely in scientific research lately. If he ever found out that Mr. Windsor’s team had made breakthroughs in brain-computer interfaces two years ago, he’d stop at nothing to get involved.
