Meanwhile, Faye sat in a coffee shop, wanting to tell Vanessa the news. But she remembered Vanessa was traveling abroad for several months, and even more enviably, lan was with her.

She figured lan was taking her on a trip around the world to lift her spirits after her recent bad moods.

“Well, you should get back to work. I have to see my father about something,” Faye said dismissively.
