Everyone at the Vaughn Group knew Henry, so he walked straight up to Xavier’s office without any trouble.

Inside, Xavier was on the phone, standing by the floor-to-ceiling window. He turned in surprise when he heard the door open. Seeing Henry, he ended his call and walked over.

“What brings you here?” Xavier asked, tossing his phone onto the sofa and rubbing his temples. He looked exhausted from work lately.

Without a word, Henry pulled out his phone, played the video again, and held it up for Xavier to see. “Take a good look at this. Xavier, is this woman really worth all your effort p>

Xavier took the phone, confused. The video was halfway through, showing Eleanor leaning against Mansfield, who was looking down at her with concern.

Xavier’s breath hitched. Where was this filmed? Why did Eleanor look so pale, as if she were about to faint?

“Did you see it?” Henry pressed. “I feel terrible for you. Look at her, stringing you along while she’s all over some other guy. The video makes it crystal clear.” Xavier’s head snapped up. “Who sent this to you? Where was it filmed?” “It doesn’t matter who sent it. Henry stared, dumbfounded. This was not the reaction he had expected. He thought Xavier would be furious, angry, and full of regret for ever falling for Eleanor. That was how a betrayed man was supposed to react.

“Yes, I’m in Kingston,” Eleanor replied a moment later. “Professor Langley is having surgery here p>

Xavier knew how much Simone meant to Eleanor. He typed back, “How is she? Was the surgery successful p>

“She’s still in surgery. We don’t know the outcome yet p>

Xavier suddenly turned to Henry. “Send me that video. Now p>

Henry, though confused, forwarded it immediately. Xavier watched it carefully. Seeing Eleanor in

Mansfield’s arms was jarring but he was more concerned about her condition.

Why did she collapse? Why was her face so pale? Was it because she was worried sick about Simone? It didn’t take him long to connect the dots. She had fainted from exhaustion, and Mansfield, being there with her had haterally caught her. If he had been there instead, Xavier would have done the exact same thing.

“Xavier, are you even listening to me?” Henry exclaimed.

“I’m listening. But you’ve misunderstood. Eleanor’s mentor is having surgery in Kingston. She must have fainted from exhaustion p>

“Her mentor’s having surgery? Sounds more like an excuse to meet her lover,” Henry blurted out.

Xavier shot him a sharp look. “Henry, don’t slander Eleanor with your malicious assumptions. I know her better than you do p>
