AIDEN’S POV

The sun stirred at Aiden’s face waking him up.

He uncomfortably turned around to ignore the gaze of the sun but it refused to disappear.

He finally opened his eyes and groaned in annoyance.

Even the sun here was different.

More imposing and hotter.

He sighed and turned around to be surprised by a nude girl with raven black hair in bed.

For a second he didn’t remember who she was or how she had even gotten into his bed.

He looked over her to see she was still sound asleep.

He hated having to see any she wolf still in his bed.

He swore under his breath and nudged her shoulder.

She stirred slowly and then gently got up.

When her eyes fluttered open, she smiled and then quickly blushed.

“My Lord.” She said. “I’m sorry I over slept.”

Aiden sat up and ruffled his hair.

“Who are you and what are you doing here?” Aiden asked still unsure.

She held the sheets to her chest and said. “I was the maid who replenished your wine last night.”

Aiden cocked his brow and then it slowly came to him.

Now he could remember.

After she had shown off her cleavage, to burn off his frustration of being stuck in such a miserable instead of being back home, he had called her to his room.

She had been too eager and he had proceeded to fuck her the entire night before finally going to sleep.

He despised having girls in his bed.

Not even daughters of high ranking wolves talked of even a mere servant.

“I remember.” Aiden said with a slight tone of annoyance.

She didn’t catch it, rather she smiled sheepishly.

“And what are you still doing here?” He asked her.

She blinked at him in surprise.

“Oh… I uhmm… er…” She stumbled with her words.

He looked at her with zero interest.

All he wanted was to be left alone.

He cocked his head at the door and then she quickly got up.

“Of course.” She said.

She came out from the bed and hurried into her peasant clothes.

Aidan wondered if this was what he was forced to be sleeping with even here.

She adjusted her dress hurriedly, and tucked her hair behind her ear.

She hurried to the door and was about to leave when she turned around.

“My lord can I ask something?” She asked.

Aiden was irritated but shrugged. “Go ahead.”

“Well….” She began as she tucked her hair behind her ear. “You’re new to the pack and you haven’t made any decision so I had hoped that perhaps…. Errrr… well uhm…. That you might consider me.”

“Consider you for what?” Aiden asked after she had said nothing for a minute.

“Oh. I’m sorry I meant considering me as your personal maid.” She said.

He blinked.

“Well….. we have heard stories that high ranking wolves like to have personal maids when they travel to new places.” She stuttered.

“You heard stories.” Aiden said in disbelief.

She started to act all giddy and confused.

“Uhmm… yes. I mean… we never have any visitors in the pack house. So I assumed.” She managed.

Aiden gave a mean chuckle.

To think that that was what she was even speaking of.

He didn’t care about a maid.

Well that was because he had hoped that whatever they had discovered would be a faux story and he would be out of this dreadful place in a matter of days.

However, it was as real as ever.

He was going to be here for a while.

Aiden got up from his bed, pulled on his breeches from the floor and wore them.

He pushed his blonde hair away from his face and walked up to where the girl stood.

She looked intimidated, frightened.

She simply stood at the door trembling in fear.

He gave her a cocky smile before bending over her.

She cowed beneath him immediately.

“You’re not usually my type.” He said and he could feel her melt.

He didn’t care.

He traced his finger over her chin and pulled her to look at him.

“However if I have use for you again, I’ll send for you. Is that clear?” He asked coyly

That seemed to brighten her spirits.

However it didn’t change the fact that she was terrified of him.

He could feel her quivering in fear over him.

“Clear?” He repeated.

She nodded quickly.

And then he leaned back away and opened the door behind her.

She almost stumbled out, but regained her composure.

In a matter of seconds she was fleeing out of his view and down the hallway.

He rolled his eyes.

To think that this was the level of women he had to put up with.

He turned around to get back into his room when his eyes caught a figure looking at him.

It was none other than Ruby.

She was glaring at him.

Her face written with judgement and disgust.

She was standing close by one of the paintings in the large hallway and seemed to be have been leaving.

He wondered how long she had stayed there.

He was certain she had seen the servant girl running out with her clothes still in disarray.

She gave him a glare before looking at him from head to toe.

It infuriated him.

This…. This girl!

She snorted at him before scoffing.

A hint of disgust to show she didn’t not approve.

He felt judged.

By an absolute no one.

She chinned up, heard her click her tongue before she turned around and stalked off.

Aiden was fuming in anger.

Who the fuck was she to make him feel guilty.

To even judge him.

For a whore like her who had been swimming naked, she had the nerve to judge him for fucking a peasant.

He went back into his room and slammed the door with such force, the walls shook.

In the process of slamming the door, he pierced his finger with a chipped wood in the door.

Blood poured out.

He swore. “Goddamn it!”

This was the third time she had had him injured.

Enough was enough.

He was going to teach her a good lesson.
