Chapter 775 STOLEN EMERALD
It happened too fast.
I turned around from admiring the beautiful mahogany shelf, completely forgotten what I had come to do in the bedroom.
I had been so taken by the beauty I had lost myself in it.
Standing right before me, stark naked was none other than Aiden himself.
I was too shocked to even say a word.
He stood completely naked. His blonde hair loose over his face in a careless but appealing manner.
His chest was broad and beautifully defined, the muscles shifting subtly beneath his skin with every breath.
His shoulders were wide, his arms thick with lean, powerful muscle, and his entire frame carried a quiet strength that was impossible to ignore.
Then my eyes drifted lower.
Hard, sculpted muscles stretched across his abdomen, forming distinct lines that would have disappeared into his pants if he had any.
No.
There wasn’t.
Rather his manhood was so large I was terrified and yet I found myself blush.
I quickly turned around.
But it was too late.
I had already seen it all.
I closed my eyes.
“Oh my Goddess!” I screamed. “Can you wear something????”
“Is that how you greet your future Alpha?” He asked arrogantly.
I had my eyes pressed tight as I struggled to breathe.
I had never seen a man naked.
Never ever.
I had heard about their manhood.
And how big it was or small.
And yet seeing him absolutely horrified and yet appealed to me.
He didn’t even attempt to hurry up and wear his clothes.
He simply walked slowly.
What the hell was wrong with him??
“Can you get dressed?!” I snapped at him in demand.
“You’re the one in my room.” He remarked dryly. “This is my territory. Moreover why are you acting like you don’t see naked wolves whenever you can.”
I hissed at him. “Not everyone is like you.”
I heard him clock his tongue as he walked around the room.
“Oh really?” He asked. “But if I remember clearly I found you swimming naked in the pool.”
I felt my face flush up in shame.
“Now if you’re such a naive and innocent virgin then why the fuck were you swimming naked? In fact you stepped out of that pool naked. Right in front of me.”
I gnawed my jaw in anger, my hands still pressed over my face.
Telling Aiden that I had never been naked in front of a man was going to seem like a blatant lie.
“And those nipples of yours, standing hard, the valley in between your legs-
“THATS ENOUGH!” I snapped in anger turning back at him.
But he had still not dressed yet.
“Goddess!” I snapped as I whirled back away from him.
I hurriedly slapped my hands against my face and closed my eyes.
“Can you wear something at least!” I screamed at him in anger.
He was such a shameless and disgusting man.
“Ruby the virgin.” He said as I heard him pouring some glass of wine for himself. “You’re much of a liar as that your friend… whatever her name is.”
He scoffed. “Still not found that wolf you were waiting for naked in that lake.”
I felt my face go red in embarrassment.
“I was not waiting for anyone and whether I’m a virgin or not is none of your business!” I snapped at him. “Can you get dressed.”
I heard him sigh heavily and then footsteps.
After about a minute he said. “You can open those hypocritical eyes of yours.”
I opened only a pinch.
He was dressed in a robe.
I sighed in relief once I saw he was now dressed.
I rolled my eyes at him as I folded my hands.
He sat down by the edge of the beautiful bed and drank from his wine glass.
“I’m here to tell you that I am not taking up your offer.” I said.
He scoffed.
“I mean it.” I said quickly.
“I thought I made this perfectly clear to you already. You owe me money. Money that I paid from your debtors. You should be thanking me.” He said as he pushed his hands through his hair.
I squeezed my face in anger at him.
I hated him so much.
But if there was one thing I had learned from him.
Getting upset didn’t make things better.
“Look I have the money.” I said.
He eyed me. “Are you also a thief?”
“No.” I howled in horror. “I mean. Look. It’s a family heirloom.”
I wanted to take it off and show him but I felt a strange attachment.
I had never taken it off since I had it and that was forever.
I walked up to him and maintained a reasonable distance.
I held up the pendant of my emerald necklace at him to his view.
“This is a family heirloom.” I explained. “It’s real and I am sure it’s worth up to or more than the million gold coins.”
He gave me a funny look and eyed me suspiciously before he rose to his feet.
He approached me and I had to control myself from fleeing.
He took the pendant of my necklace in his fingers and examined.
It felt uncomfortable just standing there. It also felt like he was staring into my breasts.
I controlled myself.
And then he frowned.
He examined the necklace closer to his view.
He rubbed the emerald over his palm and flipped it over.
I saw his eyes flash a different shade.
Shifted wolves did that when their wolf smelled something aloof.
I flinched back but he had his grip on the pendant so my neck was still well hooked to his grip.
He sniffed over it.
He actually sniffed over it and then he ran his thumb over it.
By the time he looked at me his eyes seemed dangerous and predatory.
For the first time, I was actually scared.
“What’s that about?” I asked eyeing him.
He looked at me and our eyes locked. “Where did you steal this?”
