Aside from that, several private organizations–like the Art & Calligraphy Association and the National Fine Arts Institute–also publicly distanced themselves from Halsey
His students, once considered rising stars in the industry, were all talented and capable. Unfortunately, having a tainted mentor now meant their futures had crumbled.
The students banded together and wrote a formal complaint, accusing Halsey of repeatedly exploiting them during their time at the university.
If it hadn’t been for their own strong skill sets, they might’ve been crushed completely under his pressure.
They had finally carved out some success for themselves, only to be dragged down by his scandal.
Still, they were relieved to see his true colors exposed, and they openly thanked the Nolan Group for it .
The company’s handling of PR was impressive. At the very least, it earned public sympathy for Halsey’s former students.
Although their futures now seemed uncertain, at least they could hold on to their current jobs.
Not long after, news broke that Halsey had left the country,
When Alice returned to the design department, everyone stared at her with a strange look in their eyes .
How many times had they assumed that some country girl couldn’t possibly stir up trouble?
And yet–reality had slapped them hard.
The more dismissive they’d been before, the more respect they showed now.
“No wonder she got placed in our IT department–she actually knows her stuff.”
“Opportunities belong to those who are ready.”
“She really doesn’t need to rely on man at all.”
“ I’m serious. I think I’m starting to become a fan.”
“Mrs. Nolan, would you teach me some computer skills sometime?”

Alice was in a good mood, her face even holding a faint sinile.
“Sure,” she replied.
Cheers erupted all around her.
Seeing their excited faces, she couldn’t help but smile even more.
That evening after work, she headed to the parking garage like usual, planning to leave with Eric.
He was swamped today.
Physically, he wasn’t in the condition to handle such a large workload. As his attending physician, Alice found it incredibly frustrating when patients ignored medical advice.
If this were the old days , she would’ve walked away and let him suffer the consequences.
But things were different now.
Spending time away from her quiet retreat had opened her eyes to the rhythm of everyday life. She’d come to realize that, for some people, certain things matter even more than life itself.
So, even though she was angry, she held it in when she saw how pale he looked.
Instead, she kindly handed him a small black pill.
After taking it, his face regained some color.
Daniel, standing nearby, looked like he’d just witnessed a miracle.
“ That’s the legendary Fatesoul Pill?”
Alice looked confused. “Is it that famous?”
It wasn’t even her best work–just something she made while killing time.
Daniel looked like he’d seen a ghost.
“Do you have any idea how rare that is?”
He was so moved he nearly burst into tears.
The Fatesoul Pill was rumored to prolong life. On the market, each one sol for hundreds of
thousands of dollars .

If he wasn’t mistaken, didn’t Alice just pull out a whole bottle?
Alice gave him a suspicious look.
“How much can this sell for?”
Daniel held out both hands but still couldn’t express the value properly.
In the end, he gave up on gestures.
“All I know is,” he said solemnly, “Mrs. Nolan, this bottle could buy seven or eight Spencers residences.”
Alice tossed the bottle his way like it was no big deal.
Daniel caught it with both hands immediately.
As Eric’s personal bodyguard, he was known for his steady nerves–but even he was sweating now, terrified of breaking the porcelain bottle.
Alice said casually, “Relax. I’ve got crates of that stuff just lying around.”
Daniel was speechless.
He finally understood–Alice was rich beyond imagination.
“Put them on the market. Price it by demand–whatever people are desperate enough to pay.”
Suddenly, the bottle in his hands felt a lot heavier.
This wasn’t just medicine–it was a portable gold vault.
“Don’t worry, Mrs. Nolan,” he said, eyes full of determination. “I won’t let you down.”
Eric quirked a brow. “Trying to buy out the Spencers‘ residence?”
Alice shot back, “Pretty sure that place was mine.”
Eric was surprised. “That’s a bold claim.”

He’d never realized how flawless her skin was. Even from this close, there wasn’t a single visible pore.
Her hair was smooth as silk, and as the wind blew, it brushed against his cheek–soft and gentle, like satin.
It felt wonderful.
He found himself leaning closer.
The scent of her hair lingered at the tip of his nose.
He didn’t dare to breathe, afraid that one breath might chase the scent away.
Then, the car, just pulling out of the garage, gave a sudden jolt.
His thoughts snapped back to reality in an instant.
