Holding onto her dogs, she glanced back toward a nearby corner–just in time to catch a flicker of movement at the end of the hallway.
“What are you looking at?” Morgan asked, noticing she’d fallen behind.
“This place is bigger than I thought,” Theresa said.
“Yeah, first time for me too. It’s huge in here,” Morgan replied.
As soon as the words left his mouth, they both heard it.
Footsteps. Wet, fast, and relentless.

A scream burst through the air–followed by the image of a man in a white lab coat sprinting past them in full panic.
Something was chasing him.
Then more figures followed, all of them running like hell.
While everyone was running forward, one of them tripped.
He hit the floor hard.
A blood–soaked zombie lunged from behind and landed right on top of him.
“Aaargh!”
It sank its teeth deep into his ear and ripped it clean off–flesh, cartilage, and the dangling ear canal still
attached.
Blood sprayed.
The scream tore through the hallway.
