Looking for The Apocalyptic Queen Theresa Chapter 597

Chapter 597

597 Blazing Victory
A guttural howl tore through the air.
In the next instant, a flaming arrow streaked forward and buried itself in the zombie’s gaping
mouth.
The shaft split its skull clean through. Flames roared to life, engulfing its head in a searing
blaze.
The creature shrieked and thrashed, but before it could lurch again, Louisa’s brother hurled a blast of water. The wave crashed over its burning skull, dousing the fire and snuffing out what remained of its life in the same breath.
Louisa jogged up, yanked the arrow free, and pried loose the gleamstone lodged inside.
“Got it.”
She held up the gleamstone with a triumphant grin, flashing it at Theresa like a prize. Just like that, in a handful of swift moves, they had taken the zombie down.
Surely, that kind of strength would leave Theresa and Quentin stunned. ·
Theresa smiled back politely, giving her a small nod.
“Don’t celebrate too soon.”
Dominic’s voice cut through the air. He scanned the entire station with a sharp gaze.
The South Station was near the bus station. Outside stretched a vast square, and beyond it sprawled a cavernous underground mall. Past that mall, the bus station rose like a shadow.
Now, the place was eerily silent. Not a single zombie stirred inside the station or across the enormous square outside.
It seemed safe enough to leave–but the sky was already sinking into darkness.
“We’ll stay here for the night.” Dominic decided. “At first light, we move out.”
“Perfect.”
“Agreed.”
One by one, the group gave their assent. They would make camp in the empty train station, waiting for dawn to lead them forward.

Miles returned to the vehicle, busy tinkering under the hood, while Dominic and Liam headed upstairs to scout the second–floor concourse.
Louisa, meanwhile, led Theresa and Flora through the station, hunting for anything useful.
Before long, a sizable pile of supplies had accumulated in the center of the hall.
They had collected a box of gum, three boxes of chocolate and candy, a generous stock of toilet paper, sanitary pads, towels, personal care items, and over thirty opened–but still edible- instant noodle packs. Drinks, too, in varying amounts.
“Luck’s on our side this round,” Louisa said, eyes sparkling as she surveyed the haul.
She and Flora sorted, cataloged, and packed everything into their domains, leaving only enough for everyone to eat today.
Once they were nearly done, Louisa tossed two packs of noodles and four chocolate bars to Theresa.
“What are you giving them that for? They didn’t do anything,” Flora said, frowning.
“As long as they’re part of our team, they get a share,” Louisa said. “It doesn’t matter when they joined–even if it’s now, it counts.”
Flora didn’t argue further, though a trace of annoyance lingered on her face. Louisa was the heart of the team, after all.
Louisa turned to Theresa, winking. “From now on, you two stick with me. I’ve got your backs.”
Theresa was speechless.
She looked at her–the girl’s grin was radiant, a little mischievous–and couldn’t help but feel a spark of amusement.
“Alright,” Theresa said, offering a small smile in return.
Before long, the whole team had gathered back by the vehicle,
Louisa and the others built a fire, unpacked pots and pans, and cooked a huge batch of the instant noodles they had scavenged.
Everyone clustered together, eating and chatting, the warmth of the fire chasing away evening chill.

Once they’d finished, the conversation drifted from lighthearted chatter to practical concerns.
“Theresa, where is the person you’re looking for?”

“Just south of the bus station,” she replied. ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ
“Flora’s family is up north at the bus station. So, where do we go first tomorrow?”
“You don’t need to worry about us. We’ll handle finding the person–you focus on your own
business. ”
“That’s not how it works!” Louisa said, her eyes fixed on Theresa. “I said I’ve got your back–and I mean it. Out there, with all those zombies… what if something happens to you?”
Theresa just smiled quietly.
Louisa studied her expression. “Listen up. Almost all of us are dual–ability users. I have fire- and space–based abilities. Dominic has water- and metal–based abilities. Liam–speed–type and strength–type. Flora has plant- and space–based abilities. Miles doesn’t have abilities, but he’s ex–military–combat, driving, you name it, he’s top–notch.
“You running into our powerful team? That’s pure luck for you.”
Theresa remained silent, letting the words settle.
“Don’t be silly, why say so much?” Dominic said, patting her on the head.
Louisa shot him a grin. “Dominic, we are a powerful team. Who could even compete with us after everything we’ve been through?”
She wasn’t some naive girl spilling secrets to everyone.
Theresa had caught her eye, and Louisa had total confidence in her team’s abilities.
With her powers combined with Dominic’s, they were strong on both offense and defense, adapting faster than anyone in the early days of the apocalypse. With water-, fire-, and space- based abilities—and Louisa’s domain being sizable—-they managed to stockpile a huge amount of supplies while chaos reigned.
After that, they moved through the wasteland like a force of nature. Just like the protagonists in a thrilling survival story, they rose as the leaders, guiding the team south toward home. Along the way, anyone with ill intentions in their path had been dealt with swiftly.
