Looking for The Apocalyptic Queen Theresa Chapter 599

Chapter 599

599 Finding Professor K
The fog usually lasted about half an hour each time.
Everyone waited in the car until it cleared before stepping outside. Dominic and Liam decided to accompany Flora to her place, not wanting any tension to build
Louisa, however, was determined to stick with Theresa.
After a brief argument, they split up.
Surprisingly, Miles decided to follow Theresa’s group as well.
Once the fog lifted, everyone cautiously stepped out of the South Station platform. The huge square outside was completely empty–not a single zombie in sight.
“Strange… Really strange,” Dominic muttered.
“Maybe someone cleared the zombies here back then,” Louisa suggested.
“Alright,” he advised. “Just stay alert.”
“Don’t worry. The place we’re going is close and shouldn’t be dangerous, but you need to be careful,” she added.
Flora’s expression darkened at that.
The group split, heading south and north across the square.
Theresa checked her tracker. Professor K was inside a mall south of the bus station.
“Where are you going?” Louisa asked.
“To the building behind the station,” Theresa replied.
“Then, we don’t need to go through the underground mall.” Louisa glanced at the sunken stairs leading down ahead, then looked over at the parking lot beside the bus station. “We can just climb over directly.”
“Okay,” Theresa said.
Her gaze lingered on the underground mall. Maybe it was the weather, but the place felt eerie -dark and oppressive, the mall corridors seeming to hide all sorts of things. Thᴇ link to the origɪn of this information rᴇsts ɪn.net

The group climbed over the fence, and in front of them were a sparse handful of zombies- seven or eight in total.
Zombies were scattered across the parking lot. Some lingered beside cars, some wandered aimlessly along the aisles, and many were trapped inside vehicles, pounding on the windows with low, guttural cries.
All of them had bulging eyes and sickly green skin, swaying their heads like they were high on something, moving toward them with wild excitement.
Before Theresa could react, flaming arrows pierced through the zombies, one by one.
“I told you, I’ve got your back. As long as I’m here, no zombie is getting close,” Louisa said.
“Okay,” Theresa replied, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. She quickened her pace toward the mall ahead.
As she drew closer, the tracker in her hand beeped, the light on the screen growing larger. Soon, the signal sharpened into a precise location.
“The parking garage inside!”
Theresa spotted the underground garage and finally found Professor K’s location. It’s here!
She picked up her
pace, leading the group into the garage.
The journey was surprisingly smooth; for some reason, zombies around the station were unusually scarce.
Theresa focused on the tracker as she made her way, wondering why there were so few zombies nearby. And then, without much warning, she found Professor K.
“Here you are!”
In front of Theresa was a glass room that looked almost like a cage. It measured roughly 1,100 square feet and was packed with insulated boxes growing vegetables, a dog, and an elderly man in a wheelchair.
The room had a complete ventilation system, purified water supply, food, sleeping arrangements–everything needed for daily life–and even a dog for company. If it were outside, it would have been a nice setup, but its placement in an underground parking garage felt completely out of place.
The dog, which had been curled up at the man’s feet, sprang to its paws the moment it saw someone approaching, watching Theresa warily.

The elderly man didn’t pay much attention at first when he saw a humanoid figure, but as Theresa drew closer and he realized there were multiple living humans, his eyes lit up.
“You’re Professor K? ”
Theresa stopped at the edge of the glass room.
Hearing his name, the old man looked at her, puzzled. “You know me?”
“I’m here to take you out. Come with me,” she mentioned firmly.
His expression suddenly hardened. “I can’t leave!”
“Stop talking and move!” Theresa snapped.
The dog growled and lunged toward her, baring its teeth.
Theresa’s gaze softened only slightly as she thought of her own dogs, but she still let out a powerful roar. “Back!”
The sound reverberated through the thick glass, carrying an almost tangible authority.
The dog’s tail tucked immediately, and it let out a small whimper, taking two careful steps back.
Dogs, like many animals, instinctively respected a strong leader and could sense power with uncanny precision.
Theresa’s roar, formidable and unrestrained, was enough to shake the courage of any creature.
The dog, intimidated, slunk behind the old man, keeping a wary eye on Theresa but no longer daring to growl.
“All right.” The man patted his dog and looked at Theresa. “Who sent you?”
