I felt my arms loosen and fall to my side . I stretched and massaged my shoulder . Max bent down and opened the rope around my ankle .
“ I’ve put him to sleep . He will wake up in a few hours ” he stood back up and threw the ropes on the ground .
I steadied myself and tried to find my balance . My knees got wobbly , and I swayed a little . Max quickly grabbed me and wrapped one arm around my waist , pulling me to his body .

“ Thank you . For saving me , ” I started to feel faint . My body was weak , and I was having a hard time keeping my eyes open .
