Chapter 48

It was weird walking around the kitchen without Blake . In the last 4 weeks , I had gotten used to him always being up before me and makin pouring me cereal before work . Today I had to do all that by myself and it brought me back to reality . The reality that I wasn’t going to be this Blake forever and that getting used to being treated like a queen was going to have to stop .
I placed a cup of coffee on the tray with a bowl of cereal and milk on the side , I grabbed the medicine Blake was taking and a glass of hot tenien and honey water . Just like the night before , I made my way up to Blake’s room . The door was open again but this time Blake was laying on the bed
I walked over and put the tray on his bedside table and gently touched his forehead to check if he was running a fever . He was sweaty and his forehead was warm but not too bad . He stirred under my touch and he rolled over .
He coughed and stretched , pulling the blanket higher and rubbing his face on the pillow .
“ Good morning sleepy head . How are you feeling ? ” I asked and say on the edge of his side of the bed .
“ I feel like shit ! My throat is sore and my head is pounding ” he curled up in a ball .
“ I brought you some more pills and some warm water , it will help with your throat . Have you emailed Patrick that you won’t be in ? ”
He stretched and sat up on the bed . I grabbed the water and pills and handed them to him ..
“ No I haven’t , completely forgot , I’ll do it now . My car keys are on the counter , take the car ” he took his pills and drank the whole glass of water . “ Can I have some more of this please ? ”
aside .
“ Sure you can and I won’t take your car . ” I took the glass from his hand and got up .
“ Why not ? How are you going to get to work ? ” He asked .
“ I can use the bus or get a taxi . ” I walked out of his room and went back downstairs .
I quickly made him another glass of honey and lemon and went back to his room .
“ Rosy please just take the car , otherwise I’m going to drop you ” he narrowed his eyes at me as soon as I walked back in . He started to move his blankets
“ Okay fine . I’ll take the damn car . Now get back under the blanket . There’s some breakfast on the tray . Call me if you need anything and I’ll get some dinner on the way home . ”
“ Yes , mum ” he replied and laughed .
I had the urge to hit him with something buy instead I flipped him my middle finger and walked out .

I grabbed my bag , jacket and Blake’s car keys . There was an uneasy feeling in me about driving Blake’s car . I wasn’t the best driver and his car was very expensive . Plus what if I got seen driving his car ? What would people think ?
I went down to the carpark and unlocked Blake’s car . When I looked over , there was a Black Mercedes parked in Taylor’s parking spot . Taylor had a Camaro . I put my stuff in the car when the driver door of the black Mercedes opened .
Vince got out and straightened his jacket .
“ I see you’ve upgraded . My Mercedes wasn’t pretty enough ? ” He smirked .
“ Nothing about you is pretty . Why are you here ? ” Anxiety bubbled inside me .
“ If you forget , both my siblings live in this building . It’s the place you got kicked out of , remember ? ” He was being cocky ,
“ Oh no ,
how can I forget . You’ve given me memories I will never be able to forget . ” I could feel tears forming .
