“ What’s the difference ? I thought you were a werewolf just like Blake ? ”
“ Warlocks are male . Witch is a very feminine word . Has Blake not explained all this to you ? He is a werewolf . I didn’t get the Birthright , I diadem wolf . He got it . Even though , yes , I have some of the powers of a werewolf , I can’t shift into one . So , Blake permitted me to practice witcherali , ( yolk thems by the best , and today I’m one of the most powerful warlocks known to the magic world he looked proud and annoyed at the fact that the better
superior .
“ Yes , he did mention that first bit . Just not the warlock part . Is that how you put Vince to sleep before ? You cant asleep **
“ Yes . Taylor had asked no harm to come to her stupid brother . If I had known he tried to rape you , I wouldn’t have promised Taylor anything . ” He rolled
his eyes .
“ Wait , how did Taylor know Vince was there ? ” This was way too much information to digest .
“ Because Vince called her asking where you were . Apparently , Blake got home to see if you went home without telling anyone and when he got to Taylor’s apartment , she was on the phone with Vince . She knew something was up with the way he was asking about you . I was already in Greenwoods . So when the spell led me to the nightclub , I told Blake I’d get you” he wouldn’t look at me directly . What was his problem ?
“ Thank you for finding me . For saving me and for taking me home , ” I said sincerely . That’s what he wanted , to be thanked .
He finally looked at me , his eyes dilating again .
“ Here , you left this behind ” he held out my engagement ring .
That’s what he had stopped to pick up .
I quickly took it from him and put it on . Even though I knew Blake would have happily replaced the ring , to me it was more about the sentiments the ring held .
“ Thank you . Thank you very much . ” I gave him a sincere smile .
“ How’d you know it was me ? I’ve never had a girl know the difference before ” he narrowed his eyes at me .
“ Blake’s more warm and fuzzy . You’re more cold and distant . The way you present yourself , Blake isn’t like that . I know him . ”
“ So that’s what true love is , huh ? The number of times I fuxked Kyya while pretending to be Blake is astonishing . She never knew the difference , and they had been together so long . ” He laughed and looked down at his phone .
“ Well , that’s not going to happen with me . I know ! But what I can’t understand is why you don’t repulse me ? Is that some kind of spell too ? ” I crossed my
arms .
Max’s head snapped up to look at me .
“ What ? ” He asked , surprised .
“ Yeah . Blake said that the mark would make your tough repulsive . But you were just carrying and holding me . There was nothing repulsive about it . If anything , I felt the same calmness I do when I’m with Blake . Did you do something ? Because when Vince had his hands on me , I felt gross , and it wasn’t just because he tried to mess with me . ”
Max’s face went pale . He stared at me with a cold expression . Did I say something wrong ? Was this not meant to happen ?
“ Boss , we’re here , ” the driver said , interrupting whatever was cooking inside Max’s head .

I turned and saw the enormous black gates opening . We were at the Cooper Mansion . My heart rate picked up . I leaned forward , trying to see better as the driver drove up the driveway . The stairs started to appear , and I could see a tall figure standing at the bottom . As the car got closer , the figure became clearer and almost jump out of the moving vehicle .
“ Easy . Let’s not do anything stupid , ” Max warned . He placed his hand on my thigh , holding me in place . A little warmth spreads through me at his touch . What the hell is going on here ?!

As soon as the car stopped leaped out of the door and ran towards Blake , He opened his arms and engulfed as in a tight big
I started to cry and quickly buried my face into his chest . I took a deep breath in , taking in his scent . Itis warm embrace melted away of joy marke I felt safe again .
