“ Memories ? We didn’t get to make any memories . Your mother was the one I made memories with . Lots and lots of differral find N walking into a filthy strip club and finding a lady that looks very similar to you . All those years of me dreaming about what you would feel like then , there she was . Bethany Peters . Just visualize my surprise when I told her I knew someone that could be her sister and the foul teu saree daughter your talking about ? “ . All those years of me begging and pretending to be a gentleman just so you would sleep with me . All I had to do wh clothes off just like I did with your mother ”
By this point , my tears were not holding back anymore . Mom had unknowingly told this asshole things he didn’t need to know , I was saltina sod 1 didn’t want to hear anymore . How could Vince be such a monster !
I quickly got in the car and closed the door . I started it up and drove out of the carpark . My tears were fogging up my vision and I quickly wiped them
away .
Did Taylor know her brother was here ?
I drove to the Cooper & Co building and parked in Blake’s designated spot . I had the urge to call Blake and tell him about Vince but he was sick and
didn’t want to bother him . I rampaged through my bag and found some tissues . I leaned back on the seat and took deep breathes .
This wasn’t the guy I had a crush on since I was 15. The guy that picked us up after our first party where underaged girls got too drunk . He wasn’t the guy that bought me my favourite roses for every birthday I had with the Callum family . What happened to that guy ?! Was he really pretending to be nice or had something changed ?
I wiped my face and tried to fix my face . I had a makeup bag in my office but now I had to make it through the sea of people first . I tried my best to make myself look happy and got out of the car . I walked to the lift and kept my head down , trying not to attract attention .
As soon as the lift door opened on my floor , I bolted for my office . Thankfully Lilly wasn’t at her desk so I quickly unlocked my door and went inside . I grabbed my make up bag and went into my office bathroom .
I looked at myself in the mirror and reminded myself this wasn’t my fault . Vince was doing this for his pleasure and my mothers past wasn’t going to highlight my future . I chanted those words over and over again . Willing myself to believe it .
There was a knock on the bathroom door .
“ Rosy , you in there ? ” Lilly asked .
“ Yeah be out in a minute ” I replied and quickly fixed my makeup . Once I was satisfied with my look , I packed my stuff away and took another deep breathe before opening the door .
Lilly was organising folders on my table and had a coffee in her hand .
“ You okay ? ” She asked when she saw me .
“ Yeah yeah just tired . ” I lied and put my makeup bag away .
“ No , Mr Cooper today I see . Tell me , how does it feel to drive an Audi ? ” Lilly handed me the cup and wiggled her eyebrows at me .
“ Really ? I literally just got to work , how the hell do you know this ? ”
“ I have eyes everywhere ! ” She hissed at me and started laughing .
“ I don’t think that’s true , otherwise you would have seen us making out in the lift ” I sipped my coffee .
Lilly’s jaws dropped and she just stood there staring at me .
“ I’m kidding Lil ” I started laughing .
“ You’re not funny Rose ” she rolled her eyes . ”
“ Oh she’s hilarious ! ” Kaitlin was standing at the doorway with a cup of coffee .

“ Hello there friend ” I said and beamed at her .
“ Lilly cancel Rosy’s morning appointments , she and I need to talk about how she ended up with that sexy Audi ” she had a smirk on her face .
Oh dear lord why did I bring that damn car !
“ Only if you promise to tell me about it later ” Lily said and Kaitlin nodded .
“ No , no and no ! The car is borrowed because Blake is unwell and he felt bad for not being able to drive me today . There’s nothing more to that story . So , no cancelling my appointments and no gossip session today please , I have lots of work to do including stuff for the Gala , ” I narrowed my eyes at them .
“ Fine ! But I want to know the part of the story you are not telling us . Come on , we are your friends and want to know about what Mr Cooper looks like without clothes ” they both laughed and high fived each other .
“ I haven’t seen him naked ! It’s not like that ! Why does it have to be sexual ?! Can’t we just be friends ? ”
They both shook their heads and I flipped them the finger .
“ Get out of my office both of you ! ” I yelled and them both scrambled . I picked up my folders and got to work .
