Catching the intensity of his stare, Yvonne felt a flicker of confusion and instinctively placed a protective hand over her abdomen.

“Wipe that vicious look off your face,” she warned coldly, adding, “Or I swear I’ll kill you.”

Dan’s breath hitched. “You want to kill me? You want me dead?”

When she first discovered he had faked his own death, she truly wished he had actually died.
