Chapter 756
“Who are you calling a pig?” the reporter snapped, finally understanding.
“You!” Juniper raised her hand and pointed directly at him. “The World Programming Competition was broadcast live globally. Even if you didn’t watch the live stream, you must have seen the news. And after all that, you still have the nerve to ask such an idiotic question? You’re the only one here still questioning Tucker’s abilities. What makes you so special that you deserve a private explanation p>
“You—” The reporter was rendered speechless, unable to form a rebuttal.
“I’m not finished. Shut up,” Juniper cut him off coldly, ignoring everyone else in the room. Her words were sharp as a knife. “Tucker isn’t good with words, so as the person involved, I’ll give the final response. His victory was real, his talent is immense, and he fully deserved it. Any further questions can be addressed in court p>
The reporter swallowed hard, not daring to spout any more nonsense. He’d heard that everyone who had slandered Juniper online before had received a letter from her lawyer. Those lawsuits were still ongoing. When she said she’d see them in court, she meant it.
“My apologies,” the reporter said, wisely backing down. “I just saw the rumors and was curious p>
“Is that so?” Juniper’s eyes narrowed, clearly not planning to let him go. “If you were just ‘curious,’ then why did you accept money from Byron p>
At her words, the reporter’s eyes widened in shock as he looked toward Byron. Byron, too, was stunned. He never imagined Juniper would find out.
“What money p>
“Did Byron put the reporter up to this p>
“Probably! Byron has always looked down on Tucker. He was probably jealous of the award and decided to sabotage him p>
“Byron has no real talent, just a huge ego p>
“What nonsense are you all spouting?” Byron shot to his feet, glaring at Juniper. “What are you trying to say p>
“My meaning is perfectly clear,” Juniper said, her gaze locking with his, her voice dangerously calm. “I’m telling you to get out of Eclara City and get out of the programming world for good p>
“What an arrogant little girl,” Byron scoffed, almost laughing at her audacity. She might have some talent, but telling him to get out? Who did she think she was?
“Want to test me?” A faint smirk played on Juniper’s lips. “I can get you thrown out of Eclara University in three sentences p>
“Humph.” Byron dismissed it as
empty boasting. As he was about to sit down, Juniper’s voice rang out again. “The evidence of you
colluding with and bribing i 1 net
manipulate the national
programming competition and sell placements has already been submitted to the police if I’m not mistaken, investigators will be here to question you after this ceremony p>
Byron, who had just started to lower himself into his seat, shot back up, his face instantly turning pale. He had been meticulous in covering his tracks destroying all the evidence There was no way anyone could have found out.
“At the World Programming Competition, someone secretly reported Tucker for plagiarism. That person was you, Byron. The posts on the university forum were from your burner account. And the reporter you paid to maliciously slander Tucker? That was you too p>
Juniper’s voice echoed through the hall. The crowd erupted in a massive uproar.
“I always thought it was another country trying to sabotage us for the championship.
I can’t believe the whistleblower was one of our own p>
“This was about national honor! How could Byron do that p>
“If Juniper hadn’t shown up alive, Tucker would never have been able to clear his name p>
