Shanley glanced back at the girl, who was nibbling on pistachios while stealing glances at him. Oh, she absolutely was. She had initiated it every single time. He was being wrongly accused.

“You’d better take it easy,” Jimmie said, clapping Shanley on the shoulder, his voice a low growl. “If Ebony Fox saw that, she’d tear you limb from limb p>

Shanley silently swallowed the bitter pill. If he actually snitched, he risked making Juniper angry, and then all his future ‘benefits’ would be gone.

After the others left, Shanley returned to Juniper’s side. Seeing her with her head down, focused on her snack, he raised an eyebrow with a slight smile. “You’re lucky Ebony didn’t see that p>

“Tsk.” Juniper tossed a pistachio shell onto the plate and crossed her arms, her clear eyes meeting his. “I may have initiated it, but that doesn’t give you the right to bite me p>

“And you didn’t bite me?” Shanley laughed helplessly. He unbuttoned his shirt, revealing teeth marks on both of his collarbones. Her handiwork.

“I don’t remember.” Juniper looked dazed for a few seconds as flashes of the previous night returned, making her cheeks burn. “I’m so tired. I’m going to go lie down, too p>

Shanley stood rooted to the spot, the smile on his face growing wider. He was discovering that this girl had been getting bolder and bolder recently. Fine. He’d let her be bold for another couple of years. He’d have plenty of time to ‘discipline’ her later.

The hypnotherapy officially began. The treatment was divided into three stages over five days. The first stage involved Juniperusing hypnosis to Help Celine recall her childhood memories. The second stage focused on recalling the shipwreck. The third stage was to integrate all the memories.

From the very beginning of the first stage, Celine’s tolerance was low. Her hands gripped the sheets, her forehead beaded with sweat, and her clothes were soaked through. She struggled violently, trying to escape, to wake up.

Juniper didn’t look much better. Three hours of intensive hypnotherapy had drained her of energy, leaving her face devoid of color.

“It’s okay, Celine.” She took Celine’s hand, adjusted the instruments, and leaned close to her ear, murmuring, “It’s me, Juniper. I’m here. It’s going to be okay p>

At the sound of her voice, Celine gradually calmed down, her eyes darting back and forth beneath her eyelids.

A few seconds later, two streams of tears trickled from the corners of her eyes. She opened her mouth and managed to form a word: “Juniper p>

Juniper let out a breath of relief. For Celine to say her name during hypnosis meant her memory was slowly returning. The first stage of treatment was a success.

Soon, the therapy moved into the second stage. Celine became much calmer, even able to converse with Juniper in her sleep and call out several people’s names. On the fifth day, the treatment entered its final stage.

Warren stood outside the therapy room, his eyes fixed on the woman on the bed through the glass

Just as he was lost in despair, the treatment ended, and Juniper walked out of the
