Chapter 731
“I like that plan,” said Robert, who, dressed in a shirt and slacks, looked elegant and refined. “We can also ask her about this business with Sigma Network p>
They all felt that there was more to the story than met the eye.
“Wait, let me grab some of her favorite candy,” Richard, another of the men, quickly got up to fetch the items, muttering, “I don’t know which bastard bought out the company that makes Specter’s favorite candy. It’s a real pain to get it now p>
“Remember the mango flavor. She’s not a big fan of the others,” Margaret, one of the women, added thoughtfully.
The five masters stood up, preparing to head out in a grand procession. Just then, a subordinate rushed in, his face pale and distressed. “Masters, the leader of Sigma Network… the leader of Sigma Network, he p>
Sigma Network?
At the mention of the name, the five masters’ expressions immediately tensed.
“What about Sigma Network?” Michael rushed to the front, demanding anxiously. “Are those bastards launching another sneak attack p>
The last attack had nearly cost Specter her life and almost destroyed all of Subterra Vanguard. They might be trying to take advantage of the incident at Base One to strike again.
“Spit it out!” Catherine urged, seeing the subordinate stammering.
“The leader of Sigma Network has sent a formal request for a meeting,” the subordinate said, handing over the item with trembling hands.
“A request for a meeting p>
The five masters exchanged bewildered glances as if they had just heard the most outlandish story. Are you sure it’s a request for a meeting, not an assassination order?
“Let me see!” Catherine snatched the card.
The others immediately crowded around to look. The message was simple and direct: he wanted to see Specter.
“The leader of Sigma Network wants to see Specter?” Robert sneered. “It’s a wolf paying a visit to the chickens. He’s clearly up to no good p>
“Who knows what kind of dirty trick he’s planning this time,” Richard added with a frown.
“During the last assassination
attempt, I heard the leader of Sigma
Network proposed to take over
Subterra Vanguard and exile Specter
to Liberty Island. Now he pulls a stunt like this? That old bastard must be hiding something sinister p>
“Hold on.” Michael examined the card carefully, then looked at the subordinate with
a serious expression. “How did you receive this p>
“It came by courier service.” The subordinate rubbed his nose, admitting it was bizarre. He had almost dismissed it as a prank.
“A courier? Michael paused for a few seconds before the realization hit hime The card says he wants to see spectentoday. Does that mean the leader of Sigma Network is in Australis p>
“That son of a bitch dares to come to our territory?” Richard shot up, sputtering indignantly. “After capturing Specter once, he has the audacity to be this brazen p>
“His behavior is very strange,” Catherine mused for a moment before making a bold decision. “Since he’s in Australis, why don’t we just kidnap him p>
The other masters looked up, all thinking it was a golden opportunity. The leader of Sigma Network had come to Australis and voluntarily exposed his identity. They couldn’t p>
let such a perfect chance slip away.
“I’m in,” Margaret voted in agreement, grinding her teeth. “We’ll capture him and get revenge for Specter p>
“Find the leader of Sigma Network’s location immediately and pick a few dozen of our best agents from the base. Capture the leader of Sigma Network alive p>
Just imagine-Specter finishes her work at Base One, returns to headquarters, and finds her mortal enemy has been captured. She’d be ecstatic!
