Chapter 785

“We haven’t found any trace of him elsewhere, either. It’s going to take more time p>

“Time?” Warren spun around, his dark gaze making the subordinate tremble. “I’ve given you two full years. How much more time do you need p>

The subordinate was speechless. It wasn’t for lack of trying; Nocturne’s movements were simply too erratic to track.

“I don’t care what it takes. I want his location within a month,” Warren ordered coldly. He had noticed that Celine’s mental state was gradually regressing. If he didn’t intervene soon, he feared a consequence he couldn’t bear.

“Get out p>

At Warren’s command, the subordinate scrambled out of the room.

Moments later, another subordinate pushed the door open, his voice trembling. “My Lord, the investigation results are in p>

Warren turned, waiting. “It’s confirmed that Shanley bears a strong resemblance to the leader of Sigma Network who shelled our ship all those years ago p>

The conflict had taken place within Liberty Island’s territory, so there was camera footage everywhere. Warren had investigated back then, but the cameras had only captured a profile and a view from the back. No matter which hackers he hired for facial comparison, they couldn’t find a match.

It wasn’t until Shanley appeared today that the long-buried memory resurfaced. He looked just like the Sigma Network leader.

“Here is the comparison report p>

The subordinate placed two photos on the desk. The profile and back view were an 88% match.

The leader of Sigma Network… Shanley. He certainly had the power to erase all traces of his involvement. But to have the audacity to return to Liberty Island and ask him for something?

“Is he still on the island?” Warren’s hands clenched into fists, a frosty aura enveloping him as his eyes filled with murderous intent.

“Yes,” the subordinate answered. “He’s under constant surveillance p>

“Kill him,” Warren said casually, fiddling with the potted plant on the table. If it weren’t for the leader of Sigma Network blowing up his ship, Celine’s medicine wouldn’t have been lost to the sea. She might have been back to normal by now. This was all his fault!

“Yes, sir p>

With his orders received, the subordinate left to carry them out, quickly assembling a team to corner their target.

At the pier, Shanley and Juniper were preparing to depart when they noticed the surroundings had become unnervingly quiet.

“Pop.” Juniper blew a bubble with her gum.

“Looks like you’ve been made, leader of Sigma Network,” she said lazily.

“Why not assume it was you?” Shanley asked with a faint smile, straightening her collar.

“Because they brought cannons.” Juniper glanced behind them, her eyes crinkling into a smile. “Tsk, and quite a few of them. That guy sure grudge Looks

knows how to hold for real p>

fike he wants to

“Scared?” Shanley asked, taking Juniper’s hand.

“Nope.” Juniper shot him a look. “After all, you were the one who shelled his ship.

You’re the one they’re after. It’s got nothing to do with me p>

Shanley was at a loss for words. She actually had a point.

Just then, a sharp crack echoed as a bullet whizzed in their direction.

“Watch out p>

Juniper and Shanley exclaimed in unison, diving to opposite sides and shouting a warning to Felton and Flint. Before the guards at the gate

could

react their guns had been

Snatched from their hands..net

“Take these.” Juniper tossed the weapons to Felton and Flint.

The two men were completely stunned. So this is why Ms. Payne and their boss told them they didn’t need to bring anything. They were just going to source their gear locally!
