Chapter 590
590:
Linsey looked at Collin, quickly noticing his jealous tone. “Oh, please, it’s just curiosity.”
Collin huffed, drawing out his words. “You just went all out praising the founder. Those compliments were more generous than any you’ve given me, and I’m your husband.”
Linsey let out a playful sigh, giving Collin a teasing look. “Being a bit dramatic, aren’t you?”
Collin could tell she was teasing, not complaining. His gaze darkened as he leaned in close, his breath whispering across Linsey’s skin, making her shiver.
“That tickles!” Linsey giggled, pulling back slightly. “I think it’s time for dinner. Shall we?”
As she tried to stand, she felt Collin’s gentle resistance as he tugged her back down.
“There’s something important I need to share,” Collin said, his tone serious.
Linsey’s eyes widened with curiosity. “Oh? What’s on your mind?” In the depth of her gaze, Collin saw tenderness reflected back at him, softening his resolve.
His days had been filled with negotiations involving the Burke Group and other firms, and his vigilance against the Lawson Group’s schemes had consumed all his spare moments. Caught up in everything, he realized he had unintentionally pushed Linsey aside while she was still recovering at home. A wave of remorse washed over him.
He remembered the custom engagement ring he had ordered from a renowned designer in the nearby city. Even during his rushed visit, he had managed to finalize most of the details. The designer had recently updated him, assuring that the ring’s creation was progressing well and would soon be ready.
His plan was coming together: he would reveal his secret identity and propose to Linsey during the CR Corporation’s annual gathering.
Lost in thought, Collin said softly, “In ten days, I have a special surprise planned for you.”

Linsey’s face lit up, and she asked eagerly, “A surprise? What kind of surprise are you planning?”
As Linsey spoke, her frustration was clear. “You were planning to surprise me in ten days, so why bring it up now? Do you enjoy seeing me anxious about the wait?”
Collin responded with a grin. “I thought you’d appreciate having something to look forward to, plus a little time to get ready.”
Linsey remained skeptical. She had been trying to figure out the perfect moment to tell Collin about her pregnancy, yet here he was, taking pleasure in keeping her in suspense with his own plans.
Despite her annoyance, a warmth began to spread within her. Considering this, Linsey came up with an idea. “Well, if you’re planning a surprise for me in ten days, expect one from me too.”
