There was actually another reason why Henry’s granddaughter was sent away.
Henry was always very careful with his work, but this time his granddaughter had seen what was inside the wedding gift, and that was suspicious.

So naturally, she started digging around.
That was when she found out Henry’s granddaughter had met with Sandy before messing with the wedding gifts.

That night, Oscar was about to go to bed when suddenly he was called into Irene’s room.
As soon as he stepped inside, Irene slammed a cup into pieces.
Still angry, she pointed at Oscar in his wheelchair.

Oscar had been declared brain dead before, but now here he was, alive, thanks to Erica

Irene ground her teeth in anger.

Feeling the tense mood, her heart skipped a beat. She thought Irene had found out about everything.
“Have some broth.”
She passed a bowl to Irene, hesitant to speak.
Already angry, Irene slammed the bowl on the table.
“What are you just standing there for?”
Shirley trembled . “I–I have something to report.”
Oscar’s face stayed cold.
“I’m leaving now. You should finish the bone broth. It’s good for your health.”
Then he left without any respect toward Irene.
After he left, Irene slammed the other bowl on the floor.
Shirley nearly jumped out of her skin.
Irene’s eyes were deadly.
“You’d better have something to say!”
Shirley shook, unable to hold back.
“I just counted the wedding gifts. One emerald heart pendant is missing.”
Irene slammed the table hard.
Even without investigating, she knew who’d tried to mess things up.
