Just then, her assistant knocked and entered, followed by the makeup artist.
“Yvonne, time for makeup. The director wants you on set by nine sharp,” the assistant said.
Yvonne nodded, then politely told the makeup artist, “One moment, please. I’ll just wash up. I’ll be quick.”
Yvonne quickly got out of bed, went into the bathroom for a simple wash and skincare routine, then sat down at the vanity.
After her makeup was done, Yvonne and her assistant left the hotel for the film set.
She arrived right on time.
The crew was busy setting up the scene.
Director Ward and the main actors were already there, with the director explaining the scene to them.
“Yvonne, over here,” Director Ward called out when he saw her, beckoning her over.
Yvonne had several major scenes today.
The character Yvonne played, Stella, had been arrested and imprisoned.
The police were interrogating her about her motive and the process of the crime.
After all, in everyone’s eyes, her father was loving, her stepmother was gentle, and her stepsister was lively and cute. They were a perfectly normal, happy family.

But Stella refused to say a word about her reasons for the murders.
Frustrated, the police had no choice but to investigate further, eventually finding Stella’s biological mother.
Stella’s mother had since remarried, had another child, and was living a relatively happy life.
When she learned her daughter was a murderer, she was in disbelief.
She was brought to the police station to cooperate with the investigation.
