“What’s this?” Cynthia asked, confused, as she opened it. Inside was a card—the debit card to Noah’s primary account.

The old one had been with Karina, but it was cancelled after their divorce. He had applied for a new one.

Besides the card, there were deeds to two properties, gifts from Mr. Thompson Sr. and Tobias and Karina after their marriage.

Finally, there was a stock transfer agreement.

Noah had left his marriage to Karina with practically nothing.

She knew Noah was sincere in his attempt at reconciliation, but his words held little credibility. The next time something involving Nicola came p, he would still prioritize child. The bond of blood was something that could never be broken.

“I’ve given you myself, and I’ve given you my fortune. Cynthia, you can’t abandon me,” Noah said, his arms tightening around her, trapping her in his embrace.
