“We are more than acquainted,” Dallas interrupted, his voice cutting through the room like a blade. He moved closer to the bed, his thigh brushing against my hip as he positioned himself over me. His hand landed on my ankle, his thumb tracing the bone in a slow, claiming rhythm.

Dallas turned around slowly. The look on his face stopped the words in my throat.
